Re: hatch trunk rattles? (vtiperu)
I have this too in my 2000 EK. I believe its to do with the parcel shelf(cargo cover). It gets loose and rattles. You can put tape around the plugs on the shelf that fit into the clips on the rear speaker cover; this gives a tighter fit. But really only a short term solution and its kinda a bodge job. I rip mine out sometimes or just tune it out with music lol. If anyone has any more permanent solutions id love to know as well.

I think its a bit of a waste of money unless your putting Subwoofers in the trunk. I cant stand subs personally, they losen up bolts and cause all kinds of rattles and buzzes. Dynamat at the least adds weight and id rather spend the money on other things.

The only rattling I've ever heard from the rear of a hatch is because of the speakers. Make sure they're in properly.
The rear shelf should have clips that hold it in place underneath it. If not, pick some up from Honda. Hatches which did not come with a rear shelf piece will not have the clips.

Re: (NOFX)
All hatches sold in Canada came with the shelf and clips. I think over time things wear and tear and get lose. Im gonna look into the speakers though. Thanks

What are the hatch trims there?
In the US the hatch trims for '96-'00 were the CX and DX. The CX did not come with a shelf from the factory. You could add one on though.

Re: (NOFX)
We have the same trims up here, but i think there were a couple of differences. Like we didnt get a passenger airbag in the CX, just the plastic cover. Good for weight, bad for passengers lol. And yeah we got all the cargo covers as standard up here.
