Fake Brides
Hey I was looking at some of the fake brides on ebay. It says it comes with universal sliders but what else would I need to install them in my Del Sol? Can I use the brackets and rails from the stock seats or where would I have to buy the other stuff from?

Re: Fake Brides (B16ADelSol)
most any aftermarket seat i've seen can be made to fit stock rails with very little work.there are a couple good threads on here about it that a search should reveal.
BTW-do you feel safe in a HKDM seat that you have no clue about it's qaulity or safety?something to think about.

i was referring more to build quality.i've never seen any of the knockoff seats that actually have certification from any safety foundation.there is a reason they cost considerably less than the real thing.one factor is certainly that your paying for a name, but there's also a lot of testing and R&D you're paying for.i can build a seat that looks like a Bride in my garage.would i ride in it?hell no!
i'd take a low-end seat from a reputable manufacturer over a knockoff of a high-end seat any day.

on a couple occasions i've resued the factory slider brackets, and adapted them to aftermarket seats.there's a couple threads on here that outline how to do it.
