Read this thread instead of wasting more money https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1171263 and a main relay is like 20$ from the junkyard. Too bad you dont live close, I have an extra that I keep around 'just incase'. Our cars are getting a little old.

already read it mang, this is how I know it won't throw a code
also, I wouldn't trust a junkyard for something like a relay. I'm sure millions of people before me have done it, and millions will after, but I'd rather just spend the $30 extra for the peace of mind.

I read on here a while ago that some dude took his relay apart to check the solder points and said there was no way to get in it w/out destroying the casing. if you have done it, how did you get to it w/out killing it?

I've never had to do it, but my past roomate did, and it took him about 20 min. I didnt' pay attention to how (i've never heard of not being able to get to the solder points), but he didn't have any problems.

Ignition switch? I need to look at the wiring diagrams tonight after work, but, when this happens you need to determine how far the voltage is going. Even though you replaced the fuel pump, I would start there looking for voltage and work back.

try changing ur ignitor in the distributor... i'm gonna get a brand new distributor from distributor king... supposedly those fail due to high temperatures... and the distributor king dizzy is made to stand high temps... i'm guessing since we're both turbo, it makes it even more worse cuz it gets hot REALLY Fast

lol I'm not turbo YET. the suspension was going on this weekend untill this happened, so now it's looking at another week or two for that. after that I'm all about the turboness.

I know for a fact I'm getting power to the pump when it sends the signal, for whatever reason it's not sending the signal. it seems like an ecu problem to me, but it wouldn't happen just right out of the blue like that. the ecu has been prepped for uberdata though so I guess I should pop the cover and look for a loose joint there. it's about my luck that I just spent a buck fifty on needless parts, and just have to resolder a joint . any more ideas, let me know! need to have it working by tomorrow for work or I gotta borrow the dad-mobile again. been rocking the mom-mobile to class too

hey my del sol cut off on me on my way to work last wednesday. me and a friend of mine fried our brains tryin to figure out why my car shut off and wouldnt start up again. we swapped batteries, i got my hands on another distributor, checked to see if the fuel pump was priming, check the coil, check my fuses...all gave me the same response. the engine just wouldnt turn over. well it all came down to my timing belt. it was shot to hell, thank god i was at idle when it happened...my engine is still intact. check your timing belt to see wut happens.

I'll put my money on it being the Dizzy. Same thing happend in my minivan not even 2 weeks ago. I'd try to start the car and it wouldn't start at all. So I'd give it a little bit of gas and it would want to but as soon as it did it would be on for 1/100000 of a second then it would shut off. I fixed it later in the day. I was pissed off and had to drive the truck to school.

So yea... Dizzy I'm guessing.

I actually just figured it out yesterday, and am in the process of fixing the problem as we speak. turns out to be a problem w/the ECU, goddamn computer gremlins.

I am still talking with Chris A.K.A. Xenocron about my options. I highly reccomend you send your ECU to Chris if you have the option, he does awesome work and has never left me hanging when I had a question. He def. goes above and beyond, 110% always.

I will update this post when a decision is made, and again when the car is back in running condition. thanks for all the input guys, and at the very least I have new fuel pump and main relay, which I prolly would have needed soon anyway

well it might be a loose solder joint on the ECU from where it was chipped. through no fault of Chris', a joint could possibly have come loose and be causing my problem. what we are talking about now is whether to repair this ECU or send him my backup P05 to have chipped. Of course, another option is to buy a JDM P08, but I like to send Chris all the business I can. he's a really cool dude and really does go above and beyond for his customers

i ordered that new dizzy and i just found out something new... i'm 99% sure its the fuel pump... or the relay.... my car shut off on me last night, and it didnt take 5 minutes to start it back up... i just kept on turning the ignition to the 2nd **** and i didnt even hear the fuel pump... so as i did it the 5th time, it engaged and i was able to start the car after 30 seconds.... hmmm so i'm guessing its the fuel pump

exactly the same problem I'm having. I hope it's your pump, cos they're cheaper than ECU's [though I guess it doesn't matter since I bought both ]

I haven't heard from him yet, but I don't think he recieved the ecu yet. I'll keep you guys posted as things proceed. 2 weeks of no civic and pimpin mom's camry has got me in withdrawls the thing handles like a big bag of ***

I checked my stock CX P05 and it started the car every time I turned the key. no problem with the fuel pump not-priming whatsoever. this tells me it is definitely a problem with the ECU, because if a fuse was burnt it would not start at all ever untill the fuse was replaced. I swapped out chips and they all did the same thing, so I narrowed it down to the actual ECU hardware. something is obviously either loose or some component is defective.
