EM1 won't start
Hey guys,
Let me give you the story. So I was driving on the freeway and all of a sudden my EM1 just begins to lose power. I was trying to give it gas but I wasn’t able to. My gas light was on and I was thinking that I had run out of gas. A relative was able to bring me some gas while my car was on the side of the road. We tried starting her up. It sounded like it wanted to turn over but it didn’t. Then we tried a couple more times. This time all we heard was multiple clicks. So, I had it towed to my house. I thought it could be the alternator, battery, starter, HID kit wiring, or a loose wire/blown fuse. So while it was at my house parked, I turned my headlights (HID headlights w/the kit… came with the car) on and they just started to flicker. The dome light on the inside and dash lights were really dim. So, I figured I would buy a brand new battery. So I bought the new battery and replaced it. I tried to start up the car but this time it was completely DEAD. No lights no nothing after putting in the new battery. Then probably about five minutes later I tried to start her up and she started right up. I drove it for a while and it seemed fine. The next morning when I had to go to work, I tried to start her up again. I turned on my headlights, then tried to start the car. Once I turned the key the headlights and parking lights shut off and the car didn’t start. Then I couldn’t get the headlights or parking lights back on unless I waited for 5 minutes. I’m not sure what to do now.
Any ideas?
Sorry for the long post.
