EK radiator support???
Is the 96-98 civic radiator support different from the 99-00?
I called my local junkyard about getting a 99-00 civic radiator support and he told me that its the same as the 96-98. Is that true? I always thought it was different.

If thats true, then how come some people remove their radiator support from their 96-98 civics when doing a 99-00 conversion. but i also heard you don't have to.
So if you don't have to remove the radiator support, then why do some people go through the hassle to remove it then?

maybe they feel the need to do it. ive always thought that you needed the radiator support for the front end conversion but hey i just learned that last week that you didnt. everyday you learn something new

you don't need the rad support when you're doing a 99-00 conversion on your 96-98 civic. You have people who do it and some that don't. I only did it because my radiator support was bent.
If you're doing a 99-00 front end on a integra/del sol/etc than you need the core support.

Re: EK radiator support??? (saxqtzk)
thanks guys!
I did a 99/00 conversion and there's gaps between fenders and bumpers. The guy that sold them to me told me said I need a 99/00 radiator support because the 96/98 are different.

do you have pictures? Some adjusting usually needs to take place. Mine is still a little off, but thats probably due to the fact i'm using an aftermarket radiator support.

Re: EK radiator support??? (jdmekB18C)
Okay so now we need to replace it with a 99-00 radiator support in order for the gaps to be fixed or the overlapping.
Here check this out, did a search on the FAQ and got this:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=790135
and i forgot where i found a thread where these guys took their radiator support out of their 96-98 hatch and just bolted on the 99-00 bumper, fenders, hood etc. and they never had any problems with overlapping or gaps between any of the parts.....so not sure if you really do need to get a 99-00 radiator support after seeing that. I'll try and search again to find it.
