EK Civic - Tein Type Flex - Strut bar must be removed??
I'm looking at Tein Type Flex.
The Tein Site says "OE strut bar needs to be removed."
However, the installation manual shows nothing about this.
Below is a snap of the site - taken from http://www.tein.co.uk/installation_m...-EK_96-00.html
Does anyone know is this just for installation of the rears or is there some reason you can no longer use a Strut brace at all with them?

Lol! Ok, well I was about to call you an ***, but then I didnt remember to say that I havent actually bought them yet.
I'm asking because if using them would mean that I cannot run a strut brace AT ALL (front or rear) I may consider a different model.
Make more sense now?
I've plenty of experience changing suspension on the car (4 sets of springs w/Koni yellows, & Koni coilovers over the years...) - but as I've never had something of the upper level of the Type Flex - which can include top mounts, I'm not sure what the requirements may be in terms of a strut brace.

I'm just guessing but I think it means it has to be removed to install to access some bolts for the suspension, not removed permanently

This is for the optional EDFC controller/ stepper motors that do not come included with the Tein Flex suspension. That is why it doesn't say anything in the Flex installation instructions.
On the Integra I had to notch my strut bar on each side for the EDFC stepper motors to clear because they stand on top the strut approx. 2 ". It was only on the webbing part of the strut bar so no big deal. Just take a look and see.

That is unless they are expecting you to run EDFC.
