EK B swap neccesities/ parts list/ modification.
whats up guys.... getting all my stuff together for my bswap....
motor : OBD1 B18B1
car: 96 5 speed d16y7
I have done alot of research and have gathered alot of parts:
innovative b swap mounts
si t bracket
OBD2a to OBD1 jumper harness
OBD2 alternator
OBD2 distributor
OBD1 injector connectors
I know about the IAT sensor and what needs to be done.
I know about the IACV re wireing.
I was told the inlet & outlet are different sizes on the radiator requiring the use of a 99 si radiator and radiator hoses.... is this true? I did some searching and it looks like some companies sell radiators that are compatible for 92-00 civics with manual trans....
I found when searching about wiring that the knock sensor needs to be wired up...... I cant seem to find the knock sensor on my engine (b18b1).... does it have one or is it just VTEC motors that have knock sensors?

use the b16 hoses. they are larger diameter than the d-series.
an obd1 ls does not have a knock sensor, and the obd1 ls ecu won't be looking for one.

it doesn't matter what company mounts you go with christ but you have to have B-series mounts for that motor!

no, the T bracket is the only special mount piece you need. Ditching the pillow mount on the drivers side would be nice, but you can use the D series mounts.

Just went ahead and ordered the hole kit!
Awesome.... thanks for the heads up.....I think I might just go ahead and get an si radiator too. I dont want to have to crank down a hose clamp to make a bigger hose seal up.

ok ok the question is does the motor he is gonna be using has the 3 bolts on the driver side or just 2 like the stock engine cuz if he has the 3 he needs different mount which means he cant use the stock mounts
unless all obd1 motors only have 2bolts on the driver side cuz my ls has 3

this info has been covered before, but i'll help since there is some confusion......
You do need "both" the Si t bracket "and" the driver side engine mount POST (the actual part that bolts to the block
As far as mounts go, both the D and B series are the "same", and upgrading to a good aftermarket set like Hasport or Innovation is a smart decision in my books
Don't forget, you need 94-01 Integra axles and a shift linkage

Its in.... and up and running! had to extend TPS, MAP, O2 and IACV wiring.....
thanks guys for the help! Glad to say bye bye to the D series running on 2 cylinders! Drained the tranny fluid from the d series tranny and it looked like metallic paint! looked just like GM's pewter color!
