EG Civic/built ls turbo - fuel pump won't prime and CEL doesn't work
whats going on guys I have a 93 civic coupe Canadian with a built ls turbo my fuel pump wont prime my check engine light when I turn the key doesn't show on my cluser car cranks but doest start no fuel also have hondata s300 in a p28 all grounds are good valve cover thermostat and tranny ground are all good even checked the grounds under the dashboard the yellow box with bunch of grounds checked that and even relocated it along with another ground near it and still nothing
if I take a test light on ground and the light touches the green wire witht the yellow stripe and the fuel pump kicks on I am assuming the ecu isn't getting power and isn't signaling the main relay need help asap I cant figure it

Remove the cluster to check whether the CEL bulb was removed or is burned out. Once the CEL works, pull the CEL codes.
Next check whether:
1) Fuse 12 or 31 is blown.
2) The G101 ground is connected on the thermostat housing.

As RonJ suggests is the ground clean and tight, just eyeballing it is not good enough, disconnect/clean/reconnect, a "tight" ground does not mean a good ground. 94

I know because I checked and even replaced them just because ive been trying to figure this out for a week now all grounds are clean even the 2 groungds under the dash near the hood latch also the check engine light bulb is fine ive one the car for 3 years and never tampered with the cluster I know the ecu isn't getting power because the ecu gives the main relay the signal to turn on and prime the fuel but its not getting the signal that's how im aware the bulb isn't blown because a week ago I was driving the car no problem

Voltage test the two installed fuses as follows:

Turn key from OFF to ON(II).
Does the CEL turn on and stay on or does it never turn on?

Maybe you have a security system.
During the ground wire work, you probably blew the dash fuse for the gauges.

Common problem with Del Sols and their leaky compartment.
Real problem is it can be intermittent. Borrow a known good P28 ECU and try it.

Re: EG Civic/built ls turbo - fuel pump won't prime and CEL doesn't work
that's what I did I put in chipped P28 and it started that I took it out and put my hondata back in and the car started again and its running fine now

Re: EG Civic/built ls turbo - fuel pump won't prime and CEL doesn't work
okay so the car did it again so I took a page from Rons book and cleaned g101 and the fuel pump primed but I turned the key off and tried the key again and the fuel pump did nothing im going to take both my hondata and my p28 chipped and bring them inside maybe the humidity is affecting it I sanded the ground on the thermostate down and even cleaned the bolt too and it primed once tried to start it and wasn't getting fuel anymore what could this possiably be
