Re: Does Honda sell crate engines?
I was thinking about getting my engine rebuilt and wanted to compare it to the cost of a new factory engine. I think if I get a JDM engine it might need a rebuild anyway. So I wouldn't end up saving any money.

Re: Does Honda sell crate engines?
inlinefour.com sells Spoon crate longblocks. B16A, B16B and B18C from $5900 to $6400. A B16B complete swap from any reputable importer are a great buy at about $4000. Comes with everything you need w LSD. It seems the CTR swaps have very low mileage. After replacing tb and wp, clutch and pp, resurfacing flywheel, you have at least $4500 - $4700 but you'll be good to go.l I just put one in my 94 Si so I'm all proud and braggin here! One of those Spoon crate motors would be very classy, but you could build an all motor longblock for less with all high end components for less. Just find a good solid builder not your buddy from shop class whose dad has a killer set of tools.
