so im doing my headgasket on b16a we obv took off the cam rails and cam caps and the distribtor some1 told me that if i unbolt my distrib that it will mess up my firing order and i just cant just put it back on and have it be the same ..i need some clearing up on that ...and i need the tq specs for the rails/capss/ and the arp head studs im putting in there...thx.

well as for the tourq specs search for them they are all over the net.
and as for your dizzy honda dizzy onlys goes in one way and bolts up one way
its not a old pushrod v-8 boss

lol.....i apperciate your input but dont reply to treads that u dont kno what ur talking about of course it only bolts up one way...but that dosnt matter on the Firing Order.

how would removing and reinstalling your distributor affect your firing order?
i mean you could put the plug wires on incorrectly, that's the only thing that you could do to affect that....

kinda hard to get the firing order messed up, order has already been stated. The timing can get messed up if you do not get the belt on right.

i know plenty i was just trying give you info.
if you wan it in full terms
your doing a headgasket
if you left your wires on the dizzy than there is no way to mess up the firing order givin that you put the wires back on the right plugs.
(if you took the wires off dizzy no 1 will be looking at front of dizzy cap your bottom left. then as follows 1,3,4,2
unbolting and re bolting up your dizzy will not throw off your timing.
(if you know what your doing)

Makes more sense now if you assume he meant timing. I couldn't figure out what he wanted.

Even with timing if you mark it accurately before you take it off you can get it right back where it was, no adjustment needed.

no, i ment firing order..i stated in the very start that i was told if i unbolted it...that it would reset it....said there were arrows around the dizzy or something if thats wrong then said i was told wrong dont assume i ment timing lol

That is how it should look on the dizzy cap.I hope that is what you are looking for.
No unbolting the dizzy will not change the firing order.

your firing order will not be affected..

the shaft on the dizzy only goes into the camshaft one way...
the dizzy bolts up one way....
no way to mess up firing order...(timeing)lol

only way to mess up firing order is to pull off your plug wires
and put them back on incorectlly!!!
if you got it 1234 or 4321 or something and not 1342 like it needs to be
when this person told you that pulling your dizzy and putting back in may
set your firing order off i think he ment ignition timing.
other cars dizzys can go in more than one way
so if put it a tooth or so off it will throw off your timing
nothing to do with the firing order..

ok bro some dizzys (not hondas) have gears on them as well as the cam.
if that is not set right your igniton timing will be off
your timing belt is for engine timing..

honda dizzy on the end of the shaft it to strait teeth one is larger than the other.
meaning the shatf will go into the cam one way on your darn b16a...lol...
