did you guys 1999 Honda Civic GX ??????
I thought I knew all the 96-00 Civic trivia...
turns out I had no idea there was a Civic GX in USA from 98-00 and even up to 2007
i found it when researching CA emission laws, turns out if you have a Civic GX you can apply for the sticker to drive in a carpool lane with only 1 occupant!
runs on natural gas!

The GX has everything you'd expect from a Civic, like the highest safety rating, proven performance and Honda durability.
But this is the GX, which means it's powered by natural gas and has been named the cleanest internal-combustion vehicle on Earth by the EPA. Maybe it's time to learn how the GX can help you meet your consumer- and fleet-vehicle needs.</TD></TR></TABLE>
wat does it mean by natural gas ??

I've managed to see ONE of these before, and that was in Dover, DE several years ago. Don't ask me how it got there. When I saw it I hadn't known what a GX was.
The US government even rewards for ownership of some years.

Re: (NOFX)
The GX Sedan (G6) was, for a time, the Fleet Model of choice for the City Of Los Angeles Parking Enforcement (Taffy White). I don't know what year they switched, but they also have G7 Civic models (don't know which one).
If anyone wants one, maybe they can send an inquiry to them to find out what they did with 'em? Maybe send them an inquiry even if one doesn't want one...???
In any case, they had the "Blue Diamond" CNG sticker on 'em. Didn't pay much mind to their uniquity until now... Thanks, NOFX!
Cool info...

Remember that they don't have the same tank capacity as our 11.9 gallon gasoline tanks have though.
I see that it says the 7G gets around 30/34mpg and gets about260 miles per tank. Remember that this car is especially useful to those living in areas with HOV lanes, since many states allow GXes to ride in the HOV lane without other occupants in the vehicle.
There's a lot of info out there on the 7G gen GX, but not a lot about the '98-'00 6G GX.

Oh, and to anyone hoping to buy one... good luck. They're not that common (less common as you move east) and they're not cheap.

Nope, they do make a home kit, and it's billed straight through your power company.

There are online sites dedicated to listing local natural gas stations. They're more plentiful than you might think.
And as Eran mentioned, there's always Phill. If I remember correctly, Phill shoudl cost around $2000.

One of those articles mentions that the energy cost comes down to an equivalent of $1.20 for a gallon of gasoline.
