Did I do good on these Integra seats?
I bought these Integra seats today for my eg Civic.
The driver-side one has a cigarette burn and a rip on the side. The passenger seat has a small rip in the leather on the back. I paid $65 for them....good price?
Also can anyone tell me which model they're from and what is the easiest way to repair them?
Thanks.

Wow, they must be more expensive where you are. The last three sets i all bought were like brand new, cost $50 set
Those seats you bought are from a 98 gsr, i had a set exactly like that

They normally go for around $100 here. But that is a pretty big tear in the driver side.
personaly I would have passed on them.
Repairing them, no clue. Just sampoo them real good.

This thread should be in the "whats it worth" thread. And what does it matter if you did good or not you already paid the money.

Obviously I already paid for them and can't go back on that, so there's really no reason to state that. Asking if I did good on them is just another way of asking what they're worth because I was pretty sure they are worth more than I paid but I wanted confirmation on that.

Anyone know where I can get black fabric that matches the pattern of the damaged areas?

Look like crap to me. For what you will pay to refurb them you probably could have gotten seats in better condition. Good luck finding that fabric. Just get some Autozone seat covers.

I would like to try doing upholstery and I think doing a repair like this would be a good place to start. Seats are pieced together by sections of fabric and joined together with thread so I believe I can cut the thread on the damaged sections, place the damaged section on a sheet of fabric, trace it, cut out the new piece and sew the new piece of fabric in its place. I'm sure its more complicated than it sounds but I think I could do it. Where could I buy this kind of fabric? Only the black fabric needs replacing so that should be a easy color to find.

That fabric is a dealer item, it would be somewhat unique, although you may be able to find something that looks similar, it may not be as rugged. Acura sells the seat cover, but they are pricey

Personally, i think it's the easiest, just to buy a clean used set and be done with it!! That's what i've always done

Depends on your purpose for them and how **** retentive you might be.
Steam cleaning them and repairing that tear and patching the burn could be enough.
Or you could get custom seat covers. You probably don't have experience stitching something that strong, but if you call around you might be able to find someone who can reupholster them with whatever sort of fabric you want.
I wouldn't buy new OE covers for them since you should be able to find the same seats in much better condition for much much less than that.
Be happy you're not in the same situation I am with my CRX. Blue interior. It's an '88 so the seats are a bit different and have different brackets too. Most other cars have black interiors. Most CRXes have black interiors. The few blue seats I've found are either different patterns, vinyl or in worse condition than mine are. Oh, and you can't buy the seat covers from Honda. It wasn't even an option. No part number in the EPC.

Yikes I paid $40 for a set that was almost mint.. Got them at U Pull n Pay out in Denver when I lived out there. $30-40 would have been fair.
