I've beat some 6th gen SI's and some GSR's before w/mine. Granted, it's only been by like a 10th of a second or so, but hey, a win's a win!

Nope...D16Z6
This is a pretty solid motor. If you want to know what all I have done, check out the link in my sig.
JUN Cam?? I was just on the JUN site, and there's no mention of D16Z6 parts on there at all. Only B16A, B16B, B18C, and H22A.
http://www.junauto.co.jp/products/index.html?en
Yeah, I'm well aware of this. Lots of people like to start **** about it. I talked to the right folks, sent them the parts and paid an *** load of money. That is how it was accomplished.

jdmsol, you're not telling the truth. I know JUN did not make a cam for the sohc d-series. There have been calls made and questions answered by JUN. You're a fake. Just wish i was near you, I'd ask you to prove yourself.

Re: Del Sol good car bad car ? (Black Light)
Hey, you can believe what you want. I know what I have and what steps I took to get it. I don't feel the need to "prove" myself to anyone. On top of that, I'm not going to get into another gay argument on the net about this because it doesn't solve or "prove" anything because there are always people like you that refuse to acknowledge the fact that things aren't always as they seem.
Have a nice day.
Russ, don't you live in Dothan or do I have you confused with someone else?

All i want to see is proof that you're telling the truth about having a JUN cam in your sohc d-series motor. I know that JUN did not make one for the sohc series. Could please explain to me how you were able to get one for your car? I would like to know the specs, so that i may get one of my own.

Re: Del Sol good car bad car ? (Black Light)
You've got a B16, so you can get them without any problem. I had to go through a lot of trouble for mine. After speaking with several people, sending the parts and having them do the work and paying out the *** it can be done. It's that simple. You are right, they don't have a cam in production for the d series. All they did for me was a grind. That's all there is to it. Hope this helps you understand.
BTW, are you from Dothan or not? I know I've seen your car, but just can't place it.

My newest sol is a 94(I had a 93) My suggestion to you is buy a old sol93 or 94, "S"
swap in a LS motor, and have some fun
mine with a stock Ls runs 14.2 open header, 14.6 with stock crx exaust(real restrictive) I also have a b16 tranny, 6 puck act clutch, dc header, blah blah but my motor IS stock. I love del sols, that why I bought another, Ill always have at least one around. too much damn fun. Cheap too.

Re: Del Sol good car bad car ? (jdmsol)
at least you got one thing right, you would have to pay an *** load of money for a part that did not exist at the time you purchased it.
According to Jun, they have never sold a d16 sohc cam. They have just entered the final stages of R&D this year, so I am curious also what the specs are to your "JUN" Cam.
If they just did a custom grind based on some one elses research, then you probably either A) got screwed since you can get webcams to grind you one for about $200 to any specs you would like
or B) lying..
cause if JUN does not know what the final specs are going to be on their SOHC cam that they are developing, then the paradox occurs.
But hey, maybe then used one of their blanks, and just guessed at what their specs are going to be.
EDIT:
and low 15's from stock compression on an SOHC? riiiigggghhhhhhtttt...

Re: Del Sol good car bad car ? (SH0ck-D)
My $0.02 is that the del sol is at a serious disadvatage to other civic platform cars because of the traga top and it's effect of chassis rigidity. Nice seats though!

Re: Del Sol good car bad car ? (Rezon)
it's not that bad, it is quite heavy but can still be used as a race car, just ask user Ghettoracer. he's done a lot of roadracing, if you look at the SCC with the tire comparison, you can see his car there. HTH

Re: Del Sol good car bad car ? (jdmsol)
This thread is gay.
Not so much here....
Or here really...
As right here ----> JDMSOL
"You don't have anything to prove." How about that you aren't a lying crack head? LOL Hey, isn't there a group on another forum that's going to pay you like $100 if you can come close to your 15.20? Hahaha
You are such lying troll. Can anyone gimme one good reason why I shouldn't ban him?
BTW, I called JUN back in the summer... I've spoken with directly with JUN USA twice. Two different reps. Both of them said that they don't make a cam for a D series. Period. "Any way some one might have one?" "Nope, I'm afraid he's lying."
So, if you have a JUN cam, no matter how you got it, you might want to call up JUN and inform them about it, cause they don't know.
For the record, I've known D series with bolt on's and on 75 shots that were lucky if they broke out some low 15's. If you think IHE and a cam is gonna do it, then you are on worse drugs than all your friends say you are.

if your pics of your car are old, then update them.
Jeebus, cause its funny to see the "Carbon Fiber Hood" in your mod list, and all the pics are stock hood.

JDMSOL:
I know how we can solve the issue of the validity of your 15.2 with out going to a track.
When my prelude is put back together, I will run you. Pick a place, and if you can keep your front bumper some where near my rear bumper, then I will believe you. We will video and post the results. If by chance you pull this off, I will give you $100.

well that is up to $275 and hell I will add a $20 on top of that to pay for some gas. If you can do it...then do it! JUN says that they DO NOT DO REGRINDS.
