D17A2 mods?
In a 2002 civic ex... besides the obvious bolt ons (headers/exhaust/intake), what other, more serious mods are available? I haven't been able to find many aftermarket parts for this engine... or any turbo kits...
Any help?

I'm building a custom turbo kit for my EX, it's the only way you can turbo the car currently.
And avoid nitrous, it tears the engine up horribly even with a small shot.

JE, Arias, Crower, and Eagle are all in development for internals. Other things like the fuel rail, big brake kit, and things like that from AEM have been recently released. Apex-I is also rebuilding the V-AFC so that it will work properly with our cars, but the S-AFC works now. Revo Technica has a short shifter out, Koni has their adjustable Yellow struts out, they're very good.
Other than that, the rest of the stuff that's out is appearance type modifications, and there's a lot of those out already.

There are a few kits out there for our d17's actually. Stafford Fabrication makes one. I have also heard that MaxRev and Rev Hard make one. I know u can find a kit at turbo-kits.com. I personally like nitrous for the low end toque that it gives and dont believe that it causes all the destruction to motors that it receives credit for. People seem to cause more problems trying to turbo their stock d17's than all of the nitrous heads that I know.

im kinda on the same boat ive been looking into just dropping as much weight as possible ac delete , rear seat delete anything cheap the d17’s really dont have much aftermarket support it really sucks cause the 99-2000 civics had a ton of aftermarket support but all ive really gained from searching ive seen people install a y8 intake and a bigger throttle body ive even seen a z6 cam with 3 lobes placed in it seems like a little bit of work kinda more advanced on my part i currently have manzo headers with larger exhaust ports and a spec d cat back that cats still on so i really dont see a crazy increase
