Re: (Evs-One)
i would recomend longer bolts, and to make it look deasant you should buy some cheap steal or alum. tubing and cut it to the size you want to raise ur hood. evem pvc pipe would work. its alot easier than a stack of washers. thats just my idea.

Well its done, I used nylon spacer that were a tad larger diameter than the new bolts I bought to go with the spacer. Looks pretty sick I think. I have spacers on both the bolts on each hinge, but i think im gonna cut on the spacer in half (the one thats closest to the front of the car), this way its not raised so much towards the middle of the hood as it is towards the windshield, ya know?

I don't see how anyone would even consider this jdm...
but for me having an intercooler mounted where the stock airbox goes, I can see how I could help out with temperatures

Sigh...this does not change your temp at all. I have tested it and it does nothing.
You don't have an air filter on top of your engine if you drive a Honda.

Re: (DFW)
i had to do it when i dropped my k swap in... i have a carbon fiber hood and i didn't like how much i had to space it and how if you really wanted to you could grab the hood from the gap and brake it off... plus any one can walk by and see if you have any heat under there.. lol.. so i did a bunch of trimming on the inside and i think it looks cleaner with out the (what i've heard ppl call it jdm tilt) lol... but for sure if you gotta do it for reasons other than looking jdm

this is the worst mod ever, however i did something like this, but i didnt space my hood, i lifted the rear.
What i did was cut the undermesh from the hood out, and then i took some wood blocks, and placed them under the hood, by the windshield. This warped my hood just a bit to raise the back. Fitment is still perfect, it just is raised about 1" in the rear, and looks HELLA cleaner, and this allows for me to see my fuel pressure gauge from inside the car. Looking from the front, I cant see my wipers, and you would NEVER tell it warped into this shape unless you looked for like 30 minutes with a honda manual and a ruler. One of the best mods i have done, ill post pics before the flamers try and expletive with me

Why cant you just use header wrap and a FMIC to keep things cooler? This **** looks like you hit something straight on and your hood popped up and got stuck. If you have clearance problems, then I'm sure something can be modified to lower the engine.
I dont know...whatever though. I see people do dumb **** all the time. Just look at the signature.

the hood prop is bad because the cowl by your windshield is a high pressure area. By creating a vortex here, you dont let air excape from underneather the car as easily. This just lets the hot air swirl and expletive around on the inside of your engine bay. again its just for looks.
I raised my hood for aero dynamic reasons. A smoother transition from the hood to the windshield proves to be better. Google areodynamic mods and you will see what i mean.
