I'm pretty sure you can't just get any intake with a carb #. It must be for that specific vehicle and engine. (ie: No GSR intake on LS). Carb# must match the model and year.

man, either one beats the heck outta Lewisburg, TN.
Here, in small town USA, some one is ratting out all the street racers. Dang shame too. Lotta fun. I mean it isn't like anyone is in danger or anything. The really fast cars generally stay off the street, and go where they have timing lights, scoreboards, and timeslips. The modified and basiaclly street class cars do enjoy the thrill of making a few passes before anyone ever finds out.

Really sucks when one of your friends is a mole.

Someone come down here, and help us to find out who this mole is... We need someone who has a really good detective brain too. This person is doing some kind of James Bond crap...

Anyway, hate to hear about the punk a$$ cop that popped your hood. Out here, they always wanna ransack through your car to look for some stupid weed seeds, or a rolling paper or something.

Blame irritating, is what it is. THanks for letting me rant and rave. I feel better now.

I got the same ticket before. the cop had me pop my hood and wrote me up for modified intake. the intake i had wasnt carb legal so i borrowed a friends AEM short ram and took it to court with me. and told the judge that its carb legal and gave him the carb EO number. he dropped the case.

Good?

I guess, for me it is just a spectator sport. I can't afford to run with them guys. I think the kids should be allowed to have their fun though. Like people from anyone else's generation ever raced on the street.

The whole thing about car sales in America is either Carry more payload, Go Faster, or Go Farther.

We aren't supposed to know why we want to go faster than the other guy.
We aren't supposed to know why we want a prettier girlfriend, or a bigger house... It makes the world turn. If you don't like it, why don't you go to the drag strip, and try to shut them down?

Kinda the same thing. At 11:00 NO ONE drives down industrial parkway. NO ONE. The factories aren't OPEN! wHO IS IN DANGER? No more danger than you are in when you pass that slow poke that is in front of you (who might be me) I drive the speed limit, because my car can't do anymore.

if its a legal intake that had a carb sticker when he checked it.
then goto Ref station, have it checked and ceritfied, and then take it to court. you'll win if you have the certificate

I would hardly call a CRV an SUV... and do you think he knew that?

But good luck.

If you have to take it to the ref(which he does) not only does he have to have a carb number or a stock intake BUT it also has to pass smog.

Your best bet, try to fight it and take an intake with a carb number.

Its ironic that the whole sport compact/import thing started in cali but it has the strictest rules on modifying cars.

Florida rules!! lol

It's a damn shame you are street racing. A street racing spectator died out here in the chicago area TODAY for christ sake.

Will someone tell me how a spectator in ANY sport dies? If it could have been prevented, then you could have prevented ANY of the car accidents that happened in the time it took to read this.

Yes, you can just pay the fine and be done with it.
BUT, from "friends" experience, the DMV will make you do a "test only" every year.
So, its best , to get cleared.
