Default Cooling Fan Issue

Hey all.

I've been battling a slight cooling fan issue. I noticed my fans had stopped working a couple weeks ago. I tested my relays/fuses/fan switch and noticed they were fine, so I figured it was the fan itself. I bought, and installed a new fan today, and I'm still not getting power.

I'll tell you what I know:
The fuse under the hood is good. Its been tested and replaced.
The relay is good. Its brand new.
Jumping the fan switch does nothing.
However, going from the fan directly to the battery kicks the fans on.

Is there another fuse, possibly in the car, I'm missing?
Anybody have any suggestions?

Its a stock D16Y7.

What car?

Are we talking about both the radiator and condenser fans? Or just the radiator fan?

Sorry - It's a 98 Coupe - DX

It's just the radiator fan.

What does this^ mean exactly?

Have you voltage tested fuses 17 (dash) and 57 (hood)?

I just read about jumping the fan switch to see if it activates the fan. Just connecting the two terminals in the fan switch with a paperclip/wire.

And - I wasnt aware of the dash fuse (17). The car didnt have a fuse cover, and Ive never been able to find the correct diagram.

As far as voltage testing goes, my multimeter is corroded so I was just relying on a small fuse tester. You just contact the fuse terminals, and it lights green if its good.

You'll find fuse box diagrams in the FAQs sticky. Test both of those fuses.

Thank you. That was the problem (17 fuse)!

Turned out that the fuse also had to do with my whole climate control not working. Thank you very much.

Is the A/C or cabin blower on when fuse 17 blows?

Do the A/C, the cabin blower motor, the mode control buttons, and the recirculation button work?

Is option slot 4 (C929) used in your dash fuse box?
