Is anybody running a different kind of Honda oem rim on their Del Sol? I think I'm going to end up selling the current ones on the car eventually. I was just curious at my options other than aftermarket wheels.

I dropped by East End Automotive in Gaithersburg, Md. They were nice enough to fix my AC. Apparently the schrader valve on one of my AC lines was bad. I also had the tires balanced. I had a pretty bad vibration above 60 mph. Needless to say the car travels extremely smoothly at speed now.

riceyness is why people hate Hondas. Thanks for bringing that car back to respectability.

Hey you in DC- I wouldn't park that on the road... it would suck if some moron sideswiped it. My cousin had a nice Grand Prix and that's what happened to it when he lived downtown in GR. Insurance co just BSd with him and basically screwed him over.

Yeah that would **** me off as well. No worries I live in the suburbs so my car is off of major streets.

I want to do a swap in the long term but am saving for a house right now

So no major purchases for awhile. Plus my friend keeps tempting me with his 30,000 mile S2000 that he never drives. Unfortunately I think I am way to big to fit into the S2K. 6'3 and pushing 250lbs. Yeah I know... I like small cars.

I couldn't take it anymore... The aftermarket mats kept getting jammed under the throttle and clutch pedal. I own a brand new set of oem mats but I didn't want to use them... What the hell is the point of owning something if you never use it?

I installed them 2 minutes ago and am already happy. They fit perfectly and they actually grip the carpet. I can't wait to drive the car without fighting the mats at every stoplight. Flame away. Drunk rant over.

That mats are out of production from Honda. You can get pseudo replicas from:

More specifically:

hey i am in the area. military... anyways, i have an eg desperately in need of a color change and some minor dent work... if you can post or pm where you had your work done it would be a great help. i dont know of any shops in the area and dont trust maaco to change my eg to suzuka blue. i think it will take a subject matter expert not available at maaco, not knocking em but,... so, yeah the name of that shop would be great please and thank you.

Sorry to everyone that has been PM'ing me. For some reason I haven't been receiving any email notifications. Weird...
New Impressions Autobody 240-286-7206 They are located in Columbia, Maryland and are well worth the drive if you live in the DC metro area. Ask for Alex. Nice guy and he is super honest and goes above and beyond.

Last edited by cloudbreakmd; 06-22-2009 at 05:37 AM. Reason: Because I got the shops name wrong... Sorry again.

Did you ever get this fixed? Del Sol tank is over 11 gallons, so assuming you're putting 10 gallons in each fill up, that's only 26mpg which isn't all that good I don't think. My B16 sol still gets 30 with somewhat spirited driving around town and 75+ on the highway.

Mine is mostly city driving. I usually drive my other car when taking longer trips. But the mileage is good the few times I have done mostly highway driving.

Wow... It's been a bit of time since I visited here. Well here's where the car sits now... I bought the HFP fit rims but haven't mounted them yet. I am also contemplating suspension changes soon. The VTEC stuff (from the upper level model Del Sol) and the motor from it as well.
I put all new rotors and pads on the car a couple of weeks ago, so atleast she stops. The only thing I really want now is for it to really go.
