Default Civic will not start after accident.

So I was at a 3 way stop last night and it was my turn to go and the guy to the left of me went a little pre mature and ran into the corner of my driver side fender/bumper/headlight. Yeah what a shitty life situation of all the hard work you put into your car. Anyways the cop told us to pull it to the side and it started up fine and drove to the side of the road. Then after all the aftermath I was going to drive it home and it went like 10 feet then just shut off. It turns over but just will not start. Im going to check for spark and the main relay but is there anything else I should look at? Nothing is leaking.

i would just run through the car won't start troubleshooting flow chart from the shop manual. If you google spooner tuner honda manuals you can find a pdf of the manual its in there. Those flow charts are a LIFE SAVER

I would visually check under the hood to see if anything got dislodged, check the starter, alternator etc. All visual areas distributor harness etc.

Since you got hit on your left side I'm thinking it could be something with the alternator. How bad was the accident?

Alright so I cracked the fuel filter open and primed it and it is shooting out fuel so thats good. I also tested for spark on all four cylinders and all 4 are getting spark. I did notice that the 80amp battery fuse was blown so I replaced that but still nothing. Im thinking its the ecu/ecm fuse that mightve blown too but im not sure where it is located. Ive lost the manual and there is no cover diagram either. Anyone know where its at?

Yes it, under the hood first or second from top left, the cover tells you which it is.

For the fuse locations, go here: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/civic-del-sol-fuse-panel-printable-copies-fuse-diagrams-here-1966666/

and print a few copies. It's saved me from extra work several times.

Which fuse diagram are you looking for and which year/gen civic is yours?

Here's the under-dash fuse box diagram:
http://img693.imageshack.us/img693/4...1006011133.jpg

And here's the under-hood fuse box diagram:
http://www.carinsightdetails.com/ima...ox-diagram.jpg

These are for a 99 civic, which yours appears to be
Good luck!

OK i checked all of the fuses and they are all good. Now im thinking its possibly the main relay? if my ecu was blown would the inside of it looked fried?

Nope, not the main relay, as you said it has fuel pressure
Check your ignition system in your distributor to make sure something didn't pop loose

Ill check inside the dizzy for sure. And another weird thing is when I put the key to the on position only the battery light is illuminated. None of the other lights that regularly come on like check engine, oil light, etc in the key on position aren't working. Is it the ecm/ecu? I opened it up nothings fried and it doesn't have bad solders. The 80amp battery fuse did blow though and was replaced but still nothin.

no check engine light is a bad sign.
sorry but if your ecm is toasted you may never know just by looking at it.
the back up fuse is just that a back up fuse your car will still run if that pops
the ecm will just hold no drive cycle memory.

Can anyone else say a toasted ecu can look normal?

A toasted ECU stands a good chance of smelling like an electrical fire.
As weird as this sounds, pull it out and take a good whiff of the plugs and circuit boards.
You'll notice the smell pretty quickly if something's burned.
(I'm losing my sight and I rely more on my sense of smell in finding problems under in a car, so bleh XD; )

It doesn't really smell burnt. The main relay on the other hand smells like burn't electronics, but then again it is working fine and clicking when it is supposed to. Is every wire on the ecu harness supposed to be getting battery voltage in the key on position?

does the battery check at 12.6 volts? does it turn over sluggishly or is it a strong crank?

have you checked the distributor for broken parts?

If you're getting spark and fuel, check your timing. I had the same problem with my civic a couple of month back. Make sure timing is at TDC. If not turn crank pulley CCW until it lines up.

you could check the crankshaft speed sensor. but if you have no check engine light with Key On Engine Off then there is DEFINITELY something wrong with the ecu. first I would getting a wiring diagram for the ecu and pin out your power and ground to the ecu WITH A DVOM. dont go probing around with a test light because you could def short or fry something. if you want I can get access to any ecu wiring diagram you just have to tell me the year, make, model (of course civic duh) and the engine the ecu is designed for.

Ok I got a wiring diagram off of google and found the power and ground wire. I tested it with a multimeter and they are getting power at 14 volts. So its the ecu...right?

Check for power and ground at the ECM if there is none then it is the ECM there should be not sure 2 types of power batt and ignition/wake up for the ECM to power up

Most likely would get different one plug it in and see if it starts would look into to see if it needs to be flashed might use same ECM with different maps for different engine options. You also need to hunt down what fried it hate for you to replace the ECM and fry it agian
