car stalls....help
95 civic dx JDM d15b swap. Car runs but idles around 1200 rpms and stalls when warm changed IACV. After it stalls you have to give it gas just to get it running again and it runs like crap and eventually stalls if you let off the gas. Any ideas?

Check your wiring to the IACV.

The IACV and FIT valves both have thermowax inserts within which expand with heat (closing off air flow). This in turn blocks airflow (designed with colder climates in mind to raise cold idles in order to keep the engines running). If your ecu isn't actuating the IACV as it should (i.e. if its stuck, not getting appropriate signal, ecu isn't functioning appropriately, etc), it is possible that the engine is only getting air until full warm-up (i.e. when the FIT and IACV close off via temperature).
You may consider unplugging the Throttle position sensor. This method can sometimes be used to forcibly trick the ecu into letting more air into the intake manifold (because it doesn't know if the throttle is opened or closed, therefore it will compensate by increasing the duty cycle of the IACV slightly). See if that changes anything.

Is this only an idle problem? Or does the engine misfire or have poor performance while driving?
Any CEL codes?
Have you cleaned the IACV?
Have you tried adjusting the idle screw on the throttle body?

Re: car stalls....help
I'm not certain if its possible but did you switch electrical connectors around (like the TPS and MAP, or alternatively IAT and IACV?)

Re: car stalls....help
Well. like Simkin314 stated, check your plugs(map and tps). It sounds like you have those two sensor plugs switched with each other. They look the same and will both fit the into each other. Try swapping those two and see what happens.

Re: car stalls....help
got check engine code 21 and 14 vtc solenoid is not hooked up this i know and also te 14 is baro sensor... replace baro sensor now its only a code 21 being thrown still having the same problem. you cant mix up the two plugs the tps plug wont reach the map sensor. i have another dx with the same swap in the driveway and im comparng everything trust me. Everything looks identical. cant figure it out getting frustrated. I also noticed the cooling fan doesnt turn on at all. replaced the relay and check the fuse and all wires seems to be good. It gets to temp and then it stalls. need help.
