Default Car died while driving...

CAR: EK COUPE
motor: y8
problem: we are driving the down the rode and all of a sudden, the dashboard lights starts to dim...we drove it a little bit more and it gets dimmer and dimmer untill the car just finall turns off... i know its an electrical problem but i just don't know where to look...can it be the alternator?

Sound like the alternator isn't holding a charge. How old is the car?

id say your alternator is dead and you were running on batt bower only. or the alternator belt snapped and you didnt notice.

agreed, let us know!! hope your battery didn't get messed up, charge it back up too!

sounds right....any advance auto parts store will check it out for you for free....try to take it there...in or out of the car.. then you'll know for sure

Agreed, also when this happens it is really bad for the battery...I would suggest having the battery tested at the same time as the alternator...you may need both now.

thanks for all the replies, we're going to look into the motor today, hopefully its just the alternator and nothing else :X thanks again guys^^

go to advanced, they can test ur alternator and ur battery
