Broken LCA-hub bolt
I was installing some coilovers on a 99 civic and the 14mm bolt that connects the lower control arm to the hub (NOT the bottom shock bolt) broke. I could care less about the shock bolt because I'm replacing the whole LCA assembly. So at first I was thinking about getting the bolt out extractor kit from sears after drilling a hole through it but I figured I wouldn't get anywhere because the bolt is seized through the metal sleeve in the bushing.
The question is the bolt (#19 near the trailing arm/hub assembly) threaded only through the NUT part at the back of the trailing arm/hub? Because if it is then I'm just planning of grinding that welded nut off, punch the rest of the bolt out, and buy a new nut. Also what is the thread pitch on this 14mm bolt? M10 1.25?

Re: Broken LCA-hub bolt (BrokeAssPinoy)
When this has happened to me in the past, I would use a sawzall or pneumatic cutting wheel to begin cutting the welded nut away from the LCA and then I would move to an air chisel once the gap was big enough. It's worked for me in the past, it should work for you as well .
And yeah, 10/1.25 should be the correct pitch. Then again, if you're going to use a new nut, simply make sure the bolt you plan on using fits in it

cool so it is only threaded through the nut then right and not through the whole sleeve in the bushing? Once I've cut out the wleded nut, I can just punch the rest through?
