Look at the link I posted... It shows almost all the Honda chassis codes.

And not all 5G USDM coupes are EJ1s and not all 6G Civic coupes are EJ8s (EJ8s are '96-'00 Civic EXes, both the coupe and sedan).

This should cover all USDM '92-'05 Civic coupes, hatches and sedans.

5th Gen Honda Civic
EJ2 = 93-95 Civic DX coupe
EJ1 = 93-95 Civic EX coupe
EH2 = 92-95 Civic CX hatch
EH2 = 92-95 Civic DX hatch
EH3 = 92-95 Civic Si hatch
EH2 = 92-95 Civic VX hatch
EG8 = 92-95 Civic DX sedan
EH9 = 92-95 Civic EX sedan
EG8 = 92-95 Civic LX sedan

6th Gen Honda Civic
EJ6 = 96-00 Civic DX coupe
EJ8 = 96-00 Civic EX coupe
EJ7 = 96-00 Civic HX coupe
EM1 = 99-00 Civic Si coupe
EJ6 = 96-00 Civic CX hatch
EJ6 = 96-00 Civic DX hatch
EJ6 = 96-00 Civic DX sedan
EJ8 = 96-00 Civic EX sedan
EN1 = 98-00 Civic GX sedan
EJ6 = 96-00 Civic LX sedan

7th Gen Honda Civic
EM2 = 01-05 Civic DX coupe
EM2 = 01-05 Civic EX coupe
EM2 = 01-05 Civic HX coupe
EM2 = 01-05 Civic LX coupe
EP3 = 02-05 Civic Si hatch
ES1 = 01-05 Civic DX sedan
ES2 = 01-05 Civic EX sedan
EN2 = 01-05 Civic GX sedan
ES9 = 03-05 Civic Hybrid sedan
ES1 = 01-05 Civic LX sedan

To anyone who actually cares to learn anything, whether or not it makes your car faster, your chassis code can be found as the fourth, fifth and sixth digits of your VIN. This generally works on cars newer than 1980 (since before that time there wasn't a VIN standard).

So for example, this car in this eBay auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
... has the following VIN: 1HGFA16826L001962

That means the chassis code of that car, a 2006 Civic EX sedan, is FA1.

This thread isn't about making a car faster. The OP just wanted to know some specs, that's all.
