Re: B20 TC (True Story)
I kind of get the story.
Cliffs
-OP talking smack to WAgovan Owner with Bswap
-Wagovan owner was being real and respecting peoples space, decides to race
-Beats slow em1.
-Then realized his wagovan was powered by b20vtec. not b20 "Turbo Charged". <-- is that what TC means. Better grammer from the OP wouldve been nice.

Re: B20 TC (True Story)
i think what he is trying to say is that honda made a STOCK OEM B20 vtec and the guy paid 15 grand to swap it in the ef but i believe the driver who owns that ef was telling this kid that the b20 vtec was built with OEM parts...am i right?

Re: B20 TC (True Story)
LOL yeah i think he is refering to an engine that is rarely found in crv's that offers a vtec cylinder head and a 2.0 bottom end.
is that right??????
during a road trip to colorado, i seen a crv that had vtec badging. it looked like is was part of a factory badging scheme.
at that point i wasnt into hondas like i am today. so i remembered it and didnt think much of it untill today.
i can sort of vouch for this motor. although i wont confirm till i see one again.

there is no 00 em there is no oem b20 vtec, vtech is a phone!vtec is GOD! and I really really doubt some guy would buy a ef wagon and race it specially dump 15grand into it. 15 grand = 1000 for a ls swap,500 for a b20z,1250 for rebuild,1000 for pistons and rods,3000 for a good turbo,500 for a vtech head,500 for a good tune,1250 for installation were at like 400 whp and still got 6000 grand hahahah wtf is this!

Re: B20 TC (True Story)
To me it looks like the unreleased engine that Honda was supposed to be putting in either the CRV (lol) or the Type R(lol) before they scraped it and went with the k series setup. its possible???? I don't think Ive ever seen one for sale though but the numbers are possible if its a new motor. A B20z bottom end with a B16 head stock Ive seen dyno whp at 200 to about 180 depending on the condition so 250 at the crank with a 20% power loss to wheels is very real.
But 15,000 not in my life time unless the motor has serious internal work, and I do mean serious with all possible head and bottom end work you can think of. A great trans lets say a stock type r with a ls final drive and cryogenic treatment will cost about 4k. Labor on the install can be about 1500 if there mounting the clutch doing timing things like that its possible. Motor mounts and etc yea 15k is not impossible but would most people spend that all in 1 shot on a ef hellllllllll noooooooooo lol.
