Default B16a2 running badly! Please help!

Hi there new to the site and looking some help/advice on this issue.

Car info -
92 eg6 civic
B16a2
Ek9 intake manifold
Ek9 cams
Integra airbox
Chipped p30 ecu

I Bought this car and it's was spot on driving it home and on vtec etc until the other night. I took the air box lid off the car and when driving felt the car was holding back and vtec wasn't as sharp, felt like it was hesitant. I put the airbox lid back on to see if it cured it but to no avail. Still feels quite hesitant and not as sharp as if the car is holding back quite badly.

I decided to check the plugs on the car and found the plug holes cylinder 1&2 had a fair amount of oil round them and also the plugs when removed. I cleaned the plugs and the oil from round the plug holes and refit. This still didn't seem to fix it, in fact it seemed to be worse. Car is ok driving softly I.e not revving too hard but when attempting to accelerate hard to go onto vtec the car holds back badly, worse around the 4000/4500 rpm range just before vtec comes on.

I will be doing a rocker gasket along with all other seals, oil and filter and a full spark plug service along with ht leads to try and help fix this

Any other help/advice would be great

Ok so I have replaced the spark plugs and the rocker cover gaskets along with the orings for the plug wells. Also have cleaned the points and the arm in the distributor. Still no effect. Will try and upload video

^ two posts up. I've replaced the plugs with new indium plugs, cleaned the wells out and put a new rocker gasket and orings for the wells

Trying to get my hands on a new distributor to test. But there are very few where I live because it's obd1.
Unsure what the chip is but it's defiantly a chipped p30 ecu.

wires, not distributor. you can test them with a meter, and your coil. cap and rotor are wear items, replace them. find out what is on the chip, or get rid of it.

No...no "new" distributor. get a dmm and start troubleshooting the ignition system.

When vtec dosent engage what is your oil level like? Sounds to me like your losing oil or burning it.

Update

Took it to a Honda specialist tonight. He is also stumped.

Tried a different ecu in it and a different throttle body on it with a tps on it and actuated the tps while revving my car with the other tps connected. Also checked vac lines. Nothing seemed to cure it

Next step is to check fuelling. Fuel pump and filter

Your ignition timing is probably off. Get a timing a gun and see where it is at.

Doesn't seem like OP is asking for help, just stating what he will do next.

No this is a genuine cry for help lol I've read other threads and seen fixes and other things people have tried and still no fix.

Put this up for help and have tried what has been suggested to no result

This right here doesn't tell me jack **** about how you are trying to remediate the problem.

All you're doing is replacing parts, no troubleshooting.

This right here doesn't prove anything and just makes the car run like **** because you aren't actuating the tps that is connected.
