apexi ws2 hangs low, cutting resinator too loud?
ok so my apexi ws2 resonator hangs really low..
im going to go to a muffler shop tomoro to see if they can tuck it up better but if they cant,
how much louder would it be if i cut out the resonator and weld in straight pipe in that section?
right now you can barely hear it i have my stock headers and cat..

This is what happens when you have to have "Moar Low". First it was the oil pan and now this.
Cut off the resonator and there goes your quiet exhaust and you realize you could have bought an Ebay exhaust for less.

How would I know? I don't know of anyone that buys a complete exhaust system only to then hack it all to hell because they failed to plan for how low the car was going to be.

If you go to the muffler shop just have them make a new pipe for that section that way you can always go back and don't ruin your whole exhaust. It should be no more than 80 bucks.

I suggest to get under the car and inspect the rubber bushings. I went through a bushing every 3 months when I first installed my WS2. It kept ripping in the middle. Found some slightly shorter urethane exhaust bushings on eBay and they have been holding up fine for the past 2-3 years.

Make sure the mid-pipe isn`t upside down....if you go and cut a $500 exhaust because you didn`t compensate for the exhaust when you lowered you car, than I`m sorry, you sir are an idiot...Just my 2-cents.

well i have the same exhaust on my eg and for some reason it hangs lower on the ek, so i guess im an idiot.. and the mid pipe is on right

hey do you think if i put my stock exhaust back on it will fit with the axle back to the worldsport muffler?? or would it not work because its 2 different sizes?

sorry guys im not hitting my oil pan after all.. its my apexi ws2.. **** hangs low.. i got the pipe bent up a little at a muffler shop but still hits the huge resinator sometimes so i might just cut it out and put a straight pipe there..

^Agreed. At least just get a section made to completely replace that part of the piping so you can go back when you don't care for it. Its almost straight through there.
As far as hardly being able to hear it as it is... If you wanted a loud exhaust, why would you buy a WS2? I loved that I couldn't even tell mine was there when the car was still stock. I can't wait to be done with my break in so I can put a cat on it and be back to that point.
The resonator does hang pretty low on mine though, I need to look into those poly hangers more, I had seen them but I wasn't sure if they would actually make a difference.

No its different on the ek hatch theres the first pipe from the header cuz the hatchbacks have the cat in the header so theres a seperate pipe for that and then is the resinator which curves back to the axle back
