Icon4 '98 Lx soaked passenger floor!

Hey, it's me with another problem!

The floor of the passenger side is really soaked and smells awful. The weird thing is that I have two floor mats(The Rubber one and the stock civic one) and neither was wet. I didn't even noticed until I was cleaning the inside and had to remove the floor mats.

I searched and found this DIY: https://honda-tech.com/honda-accord-...ystem-2793650/. I did it and thought it fixed it. It didn't. I used a hair dryer along with the vaccum to at least dry it for the time being. The next day it was soaked again! The drain is unclogged because it's dripping on to the pavement like it normally would. Please help!

PS: I assure you, my girlfriend is not the problem, my car doesn't have vtec so she doesn't get wet when I hit the freeway neither in bed

Actually, the car is running on water, not coolant. I haven't had the chance(broke *** college student) to refill it with coolant since the radiator cap broke and needed to refill the radiator with water on emergency.

Doesn't stop you from trying to trace the leak.

And flush that tap water out ASAP to prevent the engine from dying of corrosion cancer.

Inspect?

There are only really 3 possibilities - evaporator drain hose, heater core, rain water leak through door or window seal.

Ok, so lets say it is the heater core, what can i do? I've read that you can bypass it or remove it. I'm in the tropical so I guess I don't need it(?). What do you recommend, RonJ?

Either^ or replace.

Where? Please don't tell me you've also removed the thermostat.

Puerto Rico. And if the previous owner didn't removed it, it should be there. Why'd you ask?

Logical, but more importantly, did he remove it?

I don't know, I might have to check if it's there.

On another note: HOLY ****, do you need to remove ALL the dash to get to the heater core?!

This is not a proper fix.

If the heater core has been bypassed than inspect the evaporater. There is suppose to be a tube that leads out through your firewall or the floor.

Isn't that the same tube where the water drains on to the floor?

I'm already out of options! It's not rain water because it haven't rained, it's not the heater core because it has been bypassed and it's not the drain because it's drippin on to the pavement!

WTF?!

No it is not the same tube, in fact there is no tube to drain the floor. There is a rubber gasket that you can remove to drain the inside of your car.

You haven't even confirm if the evaporator has the tube connected to it or not, so no you are not out of ideas. You just need to verify what the **** we ask for. If you don't know just ask or take a picture of the item in question.

I found it! It's kinda weird because I swear checked behind the glovebox a million times.

Now that I found where it's leaking, what should I do?
