98 ex won't start, exhausted the obvious things
I just bought the car from a private dealer with 165,000 miles on it. It drove seemingly fine for 3 days, then...
After driving for 5 miles, turned it off. Ten minutes later, went to start it, nothing happened.
Jumped it, it started, drove fine, turned it off. Engine wouldn't turn over, nothing but a click.
Took the battery to Auto Zone, it tested fine. Put it back in the car, still the same click and for a brief moment, the dash/head lights worked (for the 1st time since the problem). Now, no more lights, and the not even the click. Seemingly completely powerless.
Any ideas or suggestions for a next step?
Thank you

Check your 3 grounds, unbolt them, clean them, and bolten them back down. Battery one, One on the thermastate housing and the valve cover to body wires. also check the connections on the starter and your battery terminals.
