97 Civic squealing When put in 5th Gear
Okay so i was driving to class the other day and I noticed that When I shifted into 5th gear the car began to squeal/whin. I added Honda Manual Transmission fluid, and still it squeal. What could be causing this? Is 5th gear shot? Flywheel Going out? or Cluth going out?
Thanks
Thanks

Noise that occurs only while driving or in a certain gear usually indicates a gear or bearing problem inside the transmission.
Does it happen while you're engaging or after you've engaged the gear (or both?)

It starts to squeal after i release the cluth, but when i press the gas the sound weakens, but when i release the gas it becomes loud again.

It still drive and accelerates like normal, but the noise is slightly annoying and don't want a small problem to become a HUGE problem.
