Default 97 Civic Dumped Daily Build

Getting Ready to start my Civic Build for the summer! Can't wait going to be a blast, really looking forward to doing this car up.

I got this car for free as a Parts car (kid said the engine was dead and a bunch of other stuff was wrong with it.) Was told it was a 95 Civic and that it wouldn't run without a new Engine/Transmission.
We put a battery in, Replaced the Ground from the Block, and some Minor Body work... and Runs GREAT!! (doesn't have 5th gear that the moment though)

So Since I put almost 0 money into getting it back on the road. I want to build it:

Plans: LOW AND SLOW

Coilovers
Paint Body/ Wheels
LCA
Minor Engine Work
Window Tint
4 Disc Brake Swap
Exhaust
New Front/Rear Bumper and a Subtle Lip kit

Pictures:

When I got it:

Window Went, Got a New Door:

New Rear Bumper:

How hard was it to change out your door...it doesn't look too hard? My window track is off and I need to get it changed I hate ashing through the sunroof lol. They want 180 or 280 from the dealer I think 180. But I can get the whole door from a junkyard for 75 buck's. I would think that the 4 bolts would be a lot easier to swap out than the actual regulator and everything.

It was pretty easy. Took me and my dad about an hour. Because we forgot to plug in the door locks.. and then realized we needed to swap out the lock in the handle. Lol.

That's what's up, ya that sounds a LOT easier than changing out the whole regulator and track's. Good luck on your build! Oh and you don't HAVE to go slow with a slammed car I just got tired of speedbumps I hit them either way I slam all the way across. I drive mine like I stole it lol, after so long your just like ehh eff it. Maybe when I get my 5 speed ej ill take more care of it. I hate stupid automatics, there is no potential with a slushbox. Ya you can make them nice but I just hate passing people and having to wait for my car to kick in gear.

i believe u can buy a new track to put in the door for 35 -40 bucks ( look on ebay)all u have to do is take off the door panel which isnt hard. many white ups im sure you can look through. this would be much easier and less money then changing a door that's color may not match.

I believe he is refering to your name brand eBay parts aka BWR.

Your lucky you had help installing the door. My passenger side was wrecked from previous owner. I was able to find the same color door in the junk yard and made a deal to remove my damage one and take the other. I was stuck installing the door by myself in the junkyard. Hardest part was just making sure everything lined up as it should.

Picking up a Tanabe Medallion Cat-Back Exhaust and a new Transmission.

I'm going to be taking the Final Drive out of the one I have and swapping the rest from a 89-91 Si Transmission
