96 civic ex no power to tailight fuse with headlights on.....searched
a friend of mine just bought an ek civic that has a problem we just cant figure out.
the car has tailights when you turn the parking lights on and has 12 volts at the 7.5 amp fuse under the dash.
when you turn the headlights on all trace of power goes away.
also it blows the brake light fuse under the hood so im pretty sure theres a short there, they do come on for a short time with very dim. im getting like 11 volts to the tailights with the parking lights on at the fuse panel i get battery voltage.
now my question is why wouldnt i be getting power at the fuse panel for the taillights with the headlights on, because they work with the parking lights on but theres a voltage drop from the fuse panel to the tailights of a little more than a volt
