what I did which is what I was told to do like 5 years ago is flip the panel to the back side, get a razor blade and cut off all the tabs around the arm rest part (if you are looking at it you will understand), when you cut them off it leaves perfect mounting spots for screws. *Warning* make sure you don't buy screws that are too long, all you need is a couple of turns. good luck, trust me this is the best way.

I was just trying to help!!! you said you had CTR door panels......instead of trying to change or dye your dash, just us your OE door panels with the inserts.....Are you tracking. I said the same thing when I got my CTR door panels, "I want to dye my dash black". I used to work in a high proformance autobody shop and we had to take out a dash once and it is not fun at all.

If he bought CTR door panels he probably wants to keep them that way, I know I would if I spent the money for them.
Either way you look at it, you weren't clear that's what you meant. I little more explanation would have been helpful. Now it makes a little more sense.
Regardless, I don't know about dying the dash. I agree removing a dash could be a pain the ***, I just don't know if I would dye it though.

That's a negative. If you can find a VTi in Europe to take the parts from, that is your best bet. Well, I am not sure the VTi in Europe had black dashes. I know that the VTi Jordan did, but that's RHD and in the UK.

european here: NO BLACK EDM dashes that I know of... and UKDM is RHD, as is JDM (there's still people who don't know this)
anyways: not sure on the 'other asian countries' that might have LHD black dashes, but would be cool... dark grey (mine) just doesn't quite cut it
