95 civic dx swap question
Hey i am new to the fourm not new to cars.. But this will be my first project since i make a substantial amount of money to afford bills and now a project i been wanting to do. Ok well i just have a question well i am just looking for some advice.. I am buying a 1995 civic from a friend and i am wondering what are the direct swaps? I read somewhere else direct swaps for this car is only d series engines? I am just looking for a dohc engine that wouldnt require to much modifications to put the engine in Vtec or Non V.. If anyone could shed some light that would be much appreciated thanks guys

Re: 95 civic dx swap question
being 1995 you are in OBD1, the HOT swap right now Seems to be H2D if you want to keep the most factory parts(trans axels bla bla bla) h22 is heavy yes and the adapter plate is expensive http://bisimoto.com/store/index.php?...&cPath=5_51_54
but it would give you the twin cam you want keeping costs low ISH, depending on how easy it is to find a H22 in your area. still need an ECU and Wiring harness from the donor car OR you could get a Chipped P28 of ebay and roll with that.
You Should just do it the right way and get an OBD1 GSR and B series trans and leave it at that, far more reliable IMO.
