95 civic b16 swap. Power steering? How?
I have a 95 civic that had a vtec b16 swap done on it.
Car had power steering before swap.
I need some help figuring out what I need to make it work again.
I want to retain the factory steering rack since its on the car already
What pump do I need?
Can I use the b16 bracket on the engine right now? Or a diff one?
What lines?
I have searched this several times and can not find a answer backed by more than one person.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

try and find out if the rack in your car is the same as 99-00 civic si or very similar. if it is then you need the pump and lines from an si. do you have the old lines? i ask because napa can combine 2 lines to make 1 with a special machine they have

I do not think they are the same or similar. napaonline.com lists two different part numbers for the two.

And no I do not have the old lines. Interesting I work at NAPA and had no idea about them doing line work.

You'll need the lines and pump for a '92 - '95 Civic (any model with PS) and the PS bracket from a Del Sol Vtec or JDM Civic with B16A

this the only thing that is different from the stock system that was on the car is the bracket for the pump that bolts to the motor, everything is the same as stock except the belt, you need one from a del sol vtec(b16a3)

Thanks so much guys. I'm a rookie when it comes to hondas. This is the first one that I have owned and I love the thing. Still trying to get used to the classifications and such but I'm learning.

Thanks, for that but I would not be on a forum search if I have not already checked the obvious resources.

Call me stupid, but do I have the right one on my car already?
It looks right, but I do not see P30 stamped anywhere on it.

looks a little different, see if the pump bolts up, also your ground will need to be moved, you have it where the tensioner goes
here is another pic of mine

Oh yeah, it is different. I see now. Hmm...... I wonder what my bracket came off. On another note. Looking at your pics, I'm about %100 sure that the pump I have is wrong also. I assumed that it was the original pump for the car but its nothing like what yours looks like. I guess I will get another stock pump and see if it bolts up. If not, then I do need that bracket like yours.
Is your bottom bracket also stamped P30?

IIRC the bottom bracket can come from almost any B-series (B20 wont work, but I believe everything else will)
If the top bracket is bolted to the head it should be right, most of them bolt the same to the pump, it's the bolt pattern for the head that's different.

I got the right pump today and tried to put it on. Found out that my brackets are wrong. The pump will not fit between the brackets and frame rail. I will have to find the P30 brackets now.

I need some pictures of the bottom bracket if possible. Not sure if the bottom is wrong also. Thanks
