Nice build and nice Hawaii creature lesson. I like how you're doing all the body work yourself.

lmao on the creature lesson. weed and coffee, what can I say...

thanks for all the shouts guys, it means a lot to find ppls actually diggin what i'm doin. Most of the peeps around here just think i'm a dumbass for trying to build a custom motor and put it into a 500 dollah chassis.... but they don't know the magic of hondas so it's explainable.

Yeh I do all the stuffs myself, what do you think... i'ma pay someone to do somethin i could learn to do for free? it's actually all pretty self explanatory.

Tomorrow I'ma start re-assembling components and get things prepped for a new motor and drivetrain. Landed a few paint jobs, so I have money comin in hopefully enough for the block and all the genuine honda parts and gaskets I'll be needing. And new LMAs...

For work, I do lots of stuffs. I find that if you're tryin to make it in this fvcked up economy, you have to diversify your income and learn how to do things you know nothin about. I do... window tinting, pc repair, plumbing, electrical, financial consulting, framing, roofing, house painting, mechanic's work, drywall, stucco, and about 3000 other things that escape me right now. Get that money homie. Mechanic work is the best paying, but finding constant jobs can be hard. Self employed ftmfw.

tomorrow will be priming and painting the bay if the sun breaks long enough to clean things up. Maui sun = sunburn after 10 minutes. No jokes.

catch ya'll laters. stay tuned.

Digital designs.... best car audio gear money can buy. Assuming you've got the change...

room mate went out of town and took the camera with him :@

i haven't done much on the car, i've got a housepainting job this month so I've mainly been workin for $$, instead of ♥♥ for my honda. Maybe i'll borrow a friend's camera and take some pics of what i've done...

next pics of..
- custom speaker box install in personal trunk and b-pillars
- custom door pods
- bay painted and demasked
- wiring harness re-loomed and cable tied into bay with self-tapping screws (brilliant invention)
- how the goat next door feels about my car

stay tuned, thanks for the shouts man.

Here's an idea i'm playin with, which won't happen for a while (until I get the trunk finished up enough to proceed.) I'm going to be building false sides into the trunk, with trays that slide in and out of the fake sides. These trays will fit all the way in through the subframe holes right to the outside metal skin of the body. From the outside of the car nothing will look different. From the inside of the trunk, nothing will look different. The idea here is stealthy smuggling storage with locks. Nothin better than a locking trunk WITH extra locking stealthy storage for small items >.<

i'ma smuggla BIATCH!

Then reinstall my amps after I clean them up nice and polish the stainless steel back to a mirror shine. Then a false wall on the back of the trunk to hide everything but amp faces, voltage monitors, amperage monitors, my sexy crossovers, and fuses for easy access.

Sound system is as follows, I have all the components listed below. I've been collecting the parts over the past few years when I have money, designing and creating the ultimate sound sys. I am quite **** about audio quality. The gear I'm installing costs more than I paid for the car with b16a3 stock motor in near perfect condition

Front stage
- DDC6.5 component splits - 200wrms @ 4ohm - separate tweets, midbass, XO's
- DDC2a amplifier - generation 2, slightly improved crossovers, less noise (personal observation) This b!tch pumps 200wrms @ 4ohms into 2 channels, left and right.

Rear Stage
- DDMB6.5LT - long throw midbass woofers - 200wrms, these little woofers almost negate the use of a sub... almost.
- DDX01 - standard 1st gen XO with adjustable treble, pretty basic, but they sure work well.
- DDT28 - 1st gen tweets
- DDC2a amplifier - 1st generation, these aren't made anymore. 250wrms @ 4ohm x 2 channel. Plenty of power.

A5s vibration
- t1001bd amp. 1136wrms @ 1ohm x 1 channel. Good crossovers for monoblock bass.
- t15d2 sub - 1000wrms @ 1ohm. 2ohm DVC wired in parallel = 1ohm. This muthafvcka bumps like nobodies business.

All in good time. My motivation is a 200 dollar corolla that complains when I pretend it's a honda. And eating ramen every night saving money.

Wow Corksil -- I truly admire your work, and envy your apparent knowledge...very interested in this build, iam in a similar boat which is another story.

wiring harness re-loomed and cable tied into bay with self-tapping screws (brilliant invention) can you explain this and pics? self tapping screws i have never used them (excuse ignorance)

self-tapping screws are screws that you don't need to drill a hole for. They start themselves, even into metal.

The ones I am using are 1/2 long. The cable ties are well.... cable ties, with a little hole on one side to put screws through.

As for re-looming, I will either heatshrink everything to make the wires smaller and harder to see... or i'll just get wire loom from the store and re-wrap/tape the wires so they are shiny and look new :D

i'll take pics when I do it.

Alright honda tech, i have returned. it's been 8 months. Nothin has happened except in the past week. here's the update.

I finally found my motor (b20z2) on another island and paid 800 to have it and ship it over here to maui.. the catalyst for this shift was the person storing my car told me i had to move it in one week or it would be towed. needless to say, i chose to get the motor. even though i couldn't afford it.

Here's my b20z2 in all of its rusted glory..

Here's the rust I was talkin about. The man who pulled it from the donor car left it uncovered in the rain overnight, the motor had no valve cover, and the hood was missing from the car it came from. This motor has been through some ****.

Here's a shot of it after cleaning the outside of the case with some wonderful solvents, lots of fingerprints rubbed off, dry hands from the chemicals, and lots of other stuff i could b!tch about but won't.

This is the stuff my mechanic friend recommended to me. it's truly glorious and works excellently, much recommended.

After lots of cleaning i used this to paint it. very toxic fumes. headache warning. had to remove myself to well ventilated area several times.

low and behold! the holy grail of all motors! this was affter i painted.

another angle..

here are the brackets for the externals i painted after cleaning.. and yes those are my feet muthafvckas. kiss them for my sweetness.

this motor has been through some rough stuff. i think it had 70k miles on it, from a 97 honda crv. this has got me worried, all the gunk and grunge inside, i might clean it off, but i have to get the car goin asap. priority is running, not pretty. i'll be takin everything apart again soon for bearings, rod boltts, head studs, etc etc. look where i scratched some gunk off, it's not too hard.

this carbon buildup has got me worried too. i want to get rid of it. and don't tell me it raises compression.

other cylinder, not as bad.

here's the old head from the crv which i won't be using. it will be a new toy for my friend's dog. it's very playful and loves to laugh. i hate to see it go. but dog is mourning the loss of his ********* so he needs the support.

finally, i cut some grass to buy some time. here is my shop, the place where all of this glory takes place. fvck all the ppl who say you have to be neat and clean, organized, use expensive shops and tools. fvck that. organized is ziploc bags. markers are for f4gs. neat and clean is having hands clean enough to hold things without dropping them. clean is less than 2 inches of water in your shop on the floor. clean is tools you can read the numbers on. expensive? hah i laugh. i've eaten ramen every night for the passt 6 years. that's how dedicated to the honda love i am.

alright, it stopped raining but i can't afford the gas to drive back to my shop

time to go to sleep at 4pm so i can be awake and rested at midnight to awake and start my day of car work again. i work on car 16 hours a day, no joke. i eat on tuesdays and i shower on wednesdays whether i am hungry or dirty or not.

no rest for the wicked.

tomorrow/tonight is header painted, inventory of parts needed taken, possibly another headgasket job for a different friend, then followup with coke and hookers. stay tuned b!tches!

bout time you finish this beast cork.

looks great. your b20 looks brand new after you cleaned it up.

too bad you gotta leave your shop. careful how much of that tropical grass you cut down or thieves gonna start finding it. best security ever. or leave that big *** cane spider in the passenger seat.

yeah, its gettin freakin complex the further into this i get. i've been organizing parts for 2 hours i already have a buncha issues posted up in the 92-95 forum about stuff.

some include....

-b20 has crank sensor, b16 does not.
-b20 and b16 crank pulleys are different sizes (very big difference)
-b20 and b16 crank gears are different, one has extra flange for CPS, so oil pumps aren't interchangeable (even tho they bolt up the same)
-okay to use rtv on oil pump (can i even reuse oil pump?)
-oil squirters on b16, not on b20 (problem?)
-b20 has no breather box, b16 does (afaik)
-b20 b16 fuel rails different (which injectors)
-b20 head with intake manifold and header good for b20? (or b20 throttle body on b16 manifold etc)
-b16 water pump (22 tooth) okay to reuse on b20
-b16 timing belt?
-b20 had slightly different (lighter weight) external (p/s, a/c, alternator, etc) brackets than b16 (can i use lighter ones? they look different, same bolt holes....)

GAHHHHHH the list goes on. camera died so i'm home to ask questions, eat, charge cam, and get back to work. don't answer any of my questions here, answer in the 92-95 forum..

thanks for the props and the interest this is turnin into a hella big project but i'ma make the dream come true.

peace homies

alright fvckers. here's your update.

worked on car all day again, apart from a followup to a waterpump job for a friend who put somethin together wrong and leaked. another 23 hours in the shop (i only sleep 1hr a night, the rest is building this car. no joke.)

here's my progress on the block... test fitting oil pumps, waterpumps, tensioner, sensors etc.

here are some of my parts...

here are some more of my parts...

and here are some more of my parts, all ziploced and ready for reassembly..

header prepped and ready for paint...

header painted with heat paint. almost out, time to get more for final touchups after all is in chassis...

old intake manifold from b20..

new intake manifold, painted cleaned, awaiting installation..

short shifter (ARC) installed awaiting reconnection to transmission..

red brake calipers painted... damn all that rust on my rotors, it's been too long...

battery. 27.5lbs, 550 CCA. powering 2500wrms of tunes...

DD-W6.5LT woofers installed in custom 1.5cu foot box, tuned to perfection. and yeah b!tches, the LT stands for long throw. meaning these speakers will punch your mom in the face because they move so much.

tweeters installed, tuned and positioned for optimal soundstage. i'm a professional don't worry. those holes are for my additional midrange, for that added girlies-drop-their-pants-because-my-soundsystem-is-better-than-yours...

front stage. 250wrms x 2channel. i don't remember the model number, but it's greek for "wet_dream_inducing"....

OMFG! could those be? is it really? spiderwebs? the shame.... oh the shame of neglect. don't worry guys, glory times deluxe soon oh so soon..

Enkei RPF1 rims. only have two left. I had 4, but someone stole one, and the other was fvcked up in a crash..

special oil filter. it's silver you might have noticed. silver oil filters give instant 400000hp, you may have heard. at any rate, get one for break in period on new motors...

aaaaand that concludes tonights update. stay tuned peeps next up is reassembly, break in, and glory times deluxe. will take moar pixorzexzerz

peace.

alright, end of the day. 10 hours today on motor. not the usual 63 hours per day i usually work on it. there were like 300 girls that came to my house asking for autographs because they found this build thread and loved the work so much that they wanted to have my babies. furreals 100% cereal..

on to business. no rest for the wicked. 298 of the girls are comin over in a few minutes, 2 of them were busy tonight. dunno why.... btw honda-tech, party at my place tonight. 298 girls, don't bring more dudes than girls. all invited. theme is "stripper party."

aaaanyways. on a more serious note. i took care of my pube situation today.

i keep getting sidetracked.

some externals added to block on b20...

my sexy lightened ACT flywheel..

my sexier clutch rated at 184ft/lbs of torque, up to 210hp...

head after cleaning with PURPLE POWAAHHH!!! and some black heat paint...

some more external brackets drying before reassembly...

its starting to look like a motor!

this is my security guard. and girlfriend. no one ****s with her. atleast i think it's a her. it has atleast one warm hole without teeth...

head with VTEC solenoid and waterneck attached...

this is a very rare and expensive specialty tool, created by rambo himself. he titled it "rock" and it goes for about 699943453982376239073usd. best of luck finding one..

final block picture to give you partial boners...

final final block picture to give you complete boners... note the oil pan for boners.. it's clean b!tches!

stay tuned, moar pixorzesxes tomorrow after more work. another 63 hour work day. depends how late i stay up with the 298 girls comin over. we'll have to see.

peace.

alright. another day. more work. only 60 hours today i was tired from all the girls the other night. all 298...

back to business.

This is tea. all the best mechanics drink it. if you want to be a better mechanic, drink tea. better if you make it yourself, this was all i had. and as a mechanic, i had to drink tea..

these are all of my left over parts. i'm going to borrow a welder and weld a giant robot out of them.

my parts bucket is getting empty. this pleases me.

i don't know wtf these bolts are from or wtf they go on. i may orphan them. i hate to see them go. maybe ill weld them to the head of the robot so he can get more girls..

this is a b16 intake manifold. it happens to be mine. i happen to be using it. get your own..

tranny painted red. note the stubborn b!tch pin and linkage still attached..

all external sensors, starter, brackets re-attached.

it appears the b16 belts may infact work. the p/s is too short, as you can see. buuuutttt..

the head is not seated due to my lack of parts comin in the mail for repositioning head on aftermarket dowels..

here you can see that these two bolts don't line up do to lack of aforementioned dowel pins. as you can also see, when they do line up, the belt should be plenty long enough..

these are all of my belts, sans timing belt which is in the mail. aren't my externals and belts so seeexxxy?

this is my very rare and expensive assembly lube. you can't buy it in america, and customs will sieze it. i had this bottle flown in from cambodia via carrier pigeon. it ran me about 6 grand, all said and done. i might auction the empty bottle on ebay when i'm done. keep your eyes peeled.

this is my toolbox. i just organized it for the picture..

my bay is painted and awaiting motor. some extras installed..

bay again. notice the red paint. that was me. i painted it. with red paint. by myself. it was painted by me, all alone. i'ma big kid now..

motor with everything but intake manifold. and special addon that will give me 9000 extra horsepower..

another angle of my sexy exedy clutch act flywheel.

front view.

feast your eyes. she's close. oh so close.

another angle.

alright that concludes the update. welcome to the lulz and partial boners.

stay tuned. i'm fvckin tired. i'm gonna go have ramen and sleeeep.

update again. some day i will come back to this thread and show my grandchildren how manly men used to be back in the day.

first off, wtf is this little rectangular thing on the top of the motor mount held on by 2 8mm bolts.... it's being removed. power to weight ratio remember.

can anyone guess what i'm up to with this one?

here, have another hint...

HOMOSAPIEN INGENUITY AT ITS FINEST B!TCHES!!

and this is how you drop a motor in with one person and no lifts....

another angle..

wide angle

one motor mount bolted in place... dont forget to remind me not to forget to remember to remind you not to forget to remind me not to forget to tighten the mounts tomorrow..

a very cute transmission, hopefully i have all the bolts. things are getting a bit confusing with so many left over parts. she goes on tomorrw after i look up torque ratings for flywheel bolts and figure out how to align my clutch disc without a spline alignment tool.

flywheel and some externals

because photobucket is too confusing with failed uploads and duplicate photos out of order, this is the last one.

tomorrow i will be bolting the wheels on, jacking the car to get transmission under frame (think it has to go in from the bottom due to mounts) then i'll get all prepped out for the b20vtec kit and headgasket, intake/exhaust manifold gaskets, throttle body gasket, hook up hydraulic clutch etc.

lots more to do, but so close.

now go answer some of my questions in the 92-95 forum. but lemme take a shower first hold my beer.

alright. another update. getting very close.

weird a$$ imitation hoodpins. they have adhesive and look like real hood pins. um.... no thanks. musta sent the wrong ones to me.

just like to take this time out to point out that THE MOTHERFvCKIN WHEELS ARE ON THE DAMN GROUND.

another angle. ****'s about to get real.

evidence of rumblefish in the area... many tracks were located.

massive pile of un-needed parts. hit me up if you need anything b-series...

all of this was possible by TEA. not just ordinary TEA, but real man TEA. this man TEA was made by me steeping my test!cles in boiling water, then wringing them out to get the last bit of man TEA flavor out of them. if you want to build a car like mine, you have to drink TEA. TEA is manliness in a can. this TEA will put hair on your chest boy. this was all made possible by TEA. so if you want to be cooler and have many womenses and models on your dick, go drink some MUTHAFVCKIN TEA B!TCH!~~`~~!!~1`!

SEEMS LIKE I FORGOT TO TAKE PIXORZEW OF TRANSMISSNCHUNS IN KAHR OHH LULZ I LULZEZ SO HARD I GET PARTIAL BONERZ AND MORE LULZ.
