94 civic really low compression
Okay so just bought a 94 civic ex with a d16z6 180k miles all original. Guy said he was driving and it just shut down and wouldn't start back up. I checked the compression and the results were 25 0 0 and 25. There's no noise when you turn it over the cam is moving along with all the rocker arms. What could've went wrong? Any suggestions appreciated I just wanna know what I could be looking at here. I've never seen anything like this happen before so I'm clueless

Wow.....
If running lean could cause this type of issues, how would the y5 and the d15z7 engines react to running lean? They were built to run lean but if valves start to get burnt I might have to take my head off and inspect the valves.

So I've done this before but I can't remember for the life of me how to get to the tensioner bolt without taking the crank pulley and timing cover off can someone enlighten me?

Thought so just wasn't exactly sure. Do I need to move any of the a/c components? My previous civic didn't have a/c so another thing I'm unsure of thanks

Okay well compression issue fixed it's 160 across the board but it's back firing out the intake like it's out of time and I can't find a **** that I can understand about the crank pull and timing marks which one do I line it up to when putting the timing belt back on. The 3 or the 2 marks?

Position the cam and crank at TDC1. Without moving the pulleys, install the belt first on the long left side (between 1 and 4 in top diagram) without any slack. Then tensioner, water pump and back to cam. Afterwards, be sure to tension the belt as per service manual instructions.
Always rotate crank pulley ONLY counterclockwise.

Okay so here's the deal. Lined up the cam and crank pulley. Put the belt on and turned the motor counter clockwise. Every time I line it up and turn the pulley the crank moves off TDC before the cam ever moves
