BAM!
No continuity on either connectors.

Now... do they have to be grounded on t-stat? Can I at least temporarly gound it to the chassis right beside the ECU until I get the car home?

Are you sure that you cleaned and tightened the G101 ground on the thermostat housing? See diagram below. Disconnect the wire and sand both contact surfaces to a shiny metallic luster before you run new wires. Then redo the continuity tests.

I don't absolutely know that those two wires must ground on the thermostat housing, but it would be safest to assume that this is so.

I did with sand paper. I sanded both the t-stat housing, and the copper connector.
I feel confident saying the grounding point is good, because I get a good reading on the multimeter when I connect my red lead to battery +, and black lead to the connector on that location. I put the black lead on the connector, not the wire nor the surrounding area. I put the lead on the connector itself to make sure the connector was actually getting a good connection to the t-stat housing.

I think for now, I'll cut both A26/B2 and ground them to the bolt holding the ecu in place(that bolt always gives me a perfect reading on the multimeter) and get the car home. Once I'm in my own parking lot surrounded by every tool I need, or may need, I'll route a new wire to the t-stat. Doing all that in my work's parking lot gets old very fast.

Edit:
Actually, I'll just "T" the wires to the body ground. So the wires will still go to t-stat housing, there will just be a second grounding point to it until I get home. That's if the car actually starts once I've done it.

Sounds good. Good luck.

This should work. Those two wires are THE grounds for the ECU. Without them, there will be no spark or fuel to the engine. After grounding them, the engine should fire right up.

It did!!!
Thank you very much for all your help. Without your contribution to this thread I'd still be scratching my head wondering what to do.

I guess who ever gets a similar problem should check for continuity between A26/B2 and body ground after ruling out the relay.

Impressive job with the electrical testing. It's always a pleasure to help people who are willing to take time to troubleshoot. And by posting your success, you encourage others to do the same.
