Re: (attentionwhore)
the only hard part to a timing belt change is breaking the crank pulley bolt. Just make sure you torque it when you re-install it and add some blue loctite. Other than that remember to replace your tensioner and water pump while your in there.

its just a pain because of the little room you have to work with, unless the engine is out of the car. Also make sure to get a new bolt for the tensioner, its kinda soft.

yup...a REAL pain
If this is your first timing belt change, expect to spend a day on it, but it really won't be that hard. Any problems you have will be (as stated before) with the crank pulley bolt. Just make sure you have a nice long breaker bar and quality sockets, and you should be fine.
Good luck.

Obviously no need to drain the coolant if you are not changing the water pump. Also, you don't need the crank pulley on to get the timing right. There is a mark on the crank spocket that can be aligned with a mark on the oil pump to indicate TDC with the crank, and then make sure that the cam is at TDC as well.

Um, yeah. It took me a while to replace my oil pump. Of course there is more to it than just this, but even just getting to the point of taking the timing belt off took a while. Now I could replace the water pump, oil pump, and timing belt in about an hour.
