Sorry you feel that way grumblefuck, but it's a solution.
It may not be the "perfect" solution, but it works and
is worth not coming out to a dead battery.
If you have a better solution, POST IT!

Re: 92-95 CIVIC HEADLIGHT WARNING BUZZER INSTALL
As I said in a PM there was already a cleaner solution than this rigged contraption.

But I'm sure that anyone that likes to take shortcuts will appreciate your contribution.
The name calling? Juvenile. Don't like what I said? Report it.

Re: 92-95 CIVIC HEADLIGHT WARNING BUZZER INSTALL
This was the solution that was commonly used up until 2010 when I posted the DIY that grumblemarc linked to showing what could be done using all original Honda parts.
While I disagree that this is a "hack job" as there is really very little messing about with wiring that needs to be done to install the buzzer, I do feel it is outdated now that there is a cleaner solution available. It's good in a pinch, I suppose, but I also did not find the buzzer reliable, notably especially on cold winter days (when you really want it most!). It was this trouble I had with it that led me to research my other solution.

I would side with Deschlong on this one. I've done the ICU conversion after having the buzzer thing. Kinda got tired of the thing going off when the car stalled or had a problem. Its much more pleasing to hear the integra chimes.

I completely agree with you Deschong and I had both read your post previously and appreciate the info.
But I needed a temporary solution until I can locate the Acura part. It was never intended as a permanent fix.
It has saved my skin several times. And I agree "hack job" is a bit extreme.

Note that you can also plug and play ANY 96-00 Civic ICU and you will have instant headlight-on warning functionality. You will need to swap the pins like in my DIY for the connector but since 96-00 Civics are likely easier to find than Integras, this option might also suit you. I haven't written up a DIY for this yet as this was a more recent discovery, so you'll have to research the pin swap step yourself by comparing ICU wiring diagrams for both cars in their respective service manuals.
Alternatively, if you also have a rear wiper then you can swap in a 98-01 CR-V ICU and wire in the intermittent REAR wiper functionality ... but that might be a bridge too far.

^ Yes, if new - those prices are really astronomical. These ICUs are usually about $10 at any junkyard. And since you need the pigtail also, really your only option is a junkyard - that's why I advocate them.
