I have an automatic 1995 Honda Civic. I have a problem with the acceleration of the take off after stopping at a stop sign.

Before it would just take a little pressure on the gas pedal for it to take off easily. I went for a ride with my bud, and on the way home I came out of a driveway kinda fast and the driveway was steep to the point that I slammed the front end of my car. Now it shuts off when cold, and it takes off slowly, enough for me to put the pedal to the floor and still not move fast enough across the intersections. I checked for oil leaks, dents or broken parts under the car. Everything was good except for a minor leak from the top of my transmission (which was weird) but I fixed it. I put in enough transmission fluid afterwards too. But it still is slow when taking off and turns of when cold. All the gears work and there's no grinding sounds that seem to be coming from my transmission.

What could be the problem?

What the problem is you need a new car. Its the tranny. The springs in the trannny may of prevent you from moving fast

Do you have any check engine lights?

almost sounds like a vacuum leak??

I do have a check engine light, but it's been there since I got the car. My dad has a scanner but his scanner doesn't work with my car since it's a '95.

You don't need a scanner read the FAQ for cells, pull your cells and move from there.
