Default is 1.7" wheel gap big after lowered?

i just got 15" konig heliums for my del sol, they didn't have 16s, which were the size i wanted so i got the 15s... but yeah, there's a huge wheel gap of like 3.5 inches. i ordered tein s-tech springs which will drop the front 1.8 and the rear 1.5 inches. so after the slammin, it'll be like 1.7 inch in the front and 2.0 inches in the front. do you think that's a big wheel gap? i mean, it's a lott better then not doing anything, but do you think it's too big of a gap?

I have tein s-techs, 15x7 rota slips with 205-50-15 tires and it looks good. Very small gap and minimal rubbing when at "full lock".

Good choice going wth the 15's. Cheaper, lighter and less prone to damage because you can run a higher profile tire.

you have a del sol right?

anyways, i have neuspeed race springs (love the ride) and im on 16s with only a 40 sidewall, actually smaller than stock. anyways i have a little gap, not much. its the perfect drop for me. springs rated at 2.5f/2.25r.. i thinks

*edit* oh and nice choice of rims, i would have got those if they had 16s.

Sorry I didnt mention that its on a '92 hatch. But they use the exact same tein springs and the chassis are near identical.

I just went out and fingered my car then measured my fingers. I figure that the gap in the front is about 1 1/8" front and 1 1/4" rear.

del sols seem very high. i dont know if if its an illusion or what. if it were my car i would drop 2" min. but then again i dont have a kit. I was actually thinking about one but it wouldnt be practical where i live. roads are harsh. i never bottom out or anything. although i do have to angle out of my driveway, and if i had a kit theres no way id make it up the driveway into the garage.

With a 1.7 drop you'll have about a finger or two gap with 15's

I have 17" wheels, forget what my tires are rated... There is no gap on mine, I cant even get a finger between wheel/fender, I love it.
