Are appearance warranty packages worth purchasing? '18 Civic Hatch Touring
Hey I just purchased a 2018 Honda Civic Hatch Sport Touring and need some advice. They offered me the appearance warranty package for $1599. But I think it’s to much. However I do need some sort of underbody protection from all the salt in Ontario Canada. The rubberized undercoating alone is $1000 at Honda but I’ve been told Ziebart does it for around $200.
Did you guys decline this warranty? Have any of you got the rubberized coating applied by a third party?

Never never never never ever buy any of those crap extra "warranties" from a dealership. The guy that sits you down for eternity getting you to sign everything but a check to yourself is the dealerships equivalent to a lead investigator on a murder case during an interrogation. His main goal is to wear you down and pad the dealerships pockets as much as humanly possible. It's been proven over and over that undercoating does more harm than good by eventually allowing moisture and road treatments to become trapped under the coating and rusts and you know the rest. The best way to keep it from rusting is to stay on top of washing your car, especially the undercarriage. Not trying to be a douche but also hate seeing people get scammed at dealerships(glad you didn't) and pay good money for services that are counterproductive to their marketed purpose(also like fram oil filters)
