Default Where on the dip stick?

Hello,

I have one of those nice JDM Red valve covers on my 2006 Civic SI. I also believe they provided a new dip stick. I remember that the provided dip stick is too short for the K20Z3 because it has a deeper sump or some such thing. Anyway, I can't remember where the oil line should be on the dip stick. The new dip stick does not have markings (and if it did they would not be right anyway). I "think" the oil fill line should be about 1/4 inch up from the end of the stick. Can someone confirm this?

Thanks

the LOW oils mark is 5/8 in. up the dip stick and the FULL mark is right at 1 3/16 in. so anywhere in between there your ok.

halfway up the stick before it twists should be fine.

assuming both sticks sit at the same "height" on the cover, why not just stick them side by side and made some kind of marks on the new stick?

Or do yourself a favor and use the stock dipstick. If you want it black, paint it, beats not being able to read your dipstick due to no markings.

Thanks for the feedback, I will dig out the stock dip stick, I know I kept it just in case.

Thank again everyone.
