Default X intake version 2 for CAMed Si's

it was really hot today 90 degrees in the shop at church auto, we put it on the dyna packs... some quick info, my car with:

06 TSX cams
NST pulleys,
P2R spacers and IMG
hondata reflash
ported DCRH
STOCK EXHAUST
with X intake version 1

while very impressive gains i know those cams had more in them, and the car was begging for a custom tune... sooo i developed a all new MAF housing made only for CAMMed cars, while it doesn't make as much power as version 1 on a stock car it does make freakish gains on a CAMed car... here is the end result

mg: mg: mg:

thats 11WHP over version one with CAMs, and the AFR is like a perfect tune on the car almost.

I'm curious, what exactly would you change that would net double the power on only a cammed car? Nice numbers

Has the info for the X Intake been posted yet? And can we get an update on version 2? You are making some good gains with this mysterious intake setup

I dont think you should tell everyone exactly how you did your MAF. You spent lots of time and money researching it so I think you should be able to capitalize on it. If someone doesn't want to buy your intake and decides to make their own, well they should do just that- MAKE THEIR OWN

I was thinking of going turbo but this sounds good so far:

BCRH
P2R Spacer/Gaskets/IMG
CAMS
Reflash
Pulleys
Custom 2.75" exhaust
Your Intake

just curious, what was the prob with version 1 on your cammed car, was it runnin too lean or too rich, im assuming u modified the maf to correct for this and thats where the huge gains came from?

its not that it was to lean, its just that the ECU likes to be under 13.4 AFR to keep timing up. so with cams and version one, AFR was around 13.6-13.7 while it still made more than the fujita, the fujita would only put down 216WHP on this dyno definately holding the cams back

ok I see, so with the cams and version 1 it was runnin a little too lean causing the ECU to pull timing, u modified the maf again to richen it up a little which allowed the ecu to put timing back into it? Have u tried the version 2 on a car with stock cams to see how it reacts? How about with boost?

It sounds like u may be onto something for sure

He says that version 2 gains are not as well as version one when they are running on stock cams
