WINDOW TINTING!!
hey guys i'm planning on tinting my 4dr white 07 civic. i was thinking either 25% or 30% all around. Could you guys post up some pics of your tinted windows? I was planning to do limo in the back, but it's a bit hard to see at night when backing up.

go limo on the back, thats what i did and I havn't hit anything yet. and as far as posting a pic of my car, it wouldn't be any help cause idk what % the tint is on the front windows. the place I went to went by light, medium, dark, and limo.

I got 20 all around, it's not really hard to see at night backing up. You like backing up for what 5-10 secs if at all.

what do you think about doing the windshield?
ive heard a few places in my area that do that.
and i was considering it, but i dont think its worth it, cause getting everything else done does the job.
but if i were to do the windshield, what % would i try for?

i did limo 5% on the rear and 35% on the sides(darkest my tint guy would go due to illinois state law saying NO Tints whatsoever on front windows) and from a distance you cant tell the difference, but the side windows u can see out of the back one is almost useless at night with no lighting. but its looks great. if tints are illegal in your state i suggest taking pictures of your front doors open with the windows up before tinting them so when u have a court appearance you can say see your honor no more tints. and they drop the tint ticket at least in illinois they do.

i had the darkest on the sides and the lightest on the windshield in my previous car, and even with the high beams, i couldnt see a rock the size of a basketball (almost) that bent my wheel...
my advise is against it...too risky

ehh whatever you do don't go limo. Limo has metal in it and will screw with your radio. And besides that the dye will eventually fade. Go ceramic whatever % you decide to go with!

Johnson makes a good non-metallic tint that's fade-resistant and has a lifetime guarantee.
Don't go with Llumar. Llumar (over the years) has proved that it DOES fade, regardless of what people say.
Check with the tint shop to see if they carry a lifetime warranty on Johnson (I think authorized Johnson dealers are required to do so) and get it done there. I paid $115 for my coupe, but average price on tint (at least in CA) is going to be $130-$180.
G'luck! I'll post up pics of my tints when I have a chance to take some pics!

Re: (hyperluv)
I have a quick question I hope that someone can help me out. When I got my windows tinted they got the soapy water that they use all over my door panels and I haven’t had any luck getting off my panels. Do guys know what will get the soap off of the door panels?
