Every once in awhile the display for my radio seems to freak out and replace some or all of the information displayed with seemingly random symbols for several minutes, despite any restarting of the system or the car. Then, just as quickly, it'll go perfectly back to normal. The whole time the actual system is playing music just fine, and the clock never looses time, so I assume its a problem with the display. Any ideas?

It only comes up every week or so, so I know at this stage the dealership won't be able to replicate the problem.

warranty it... no matter what it takes get them to replace ur unit

is it like a wave back and forth, constantly changing? does it look like it could be just an entertainment feature of the unit?

Does it drive itself sometimes also... if it does it could be a Tranformer...lol

You could always take a picture of it for document and then take the car in for warantee. Probably a bad headunit. I have yet to see this as an "entertainment feature" on our Civics. lol

Does this happen on XM or on any mode? Could be interference with the Sattelite signal.

If it happens with any other mode (CD, radio, etc), definitely take it to the dealer while you're still on warranty

My car does the same thing. I took it into the dealer today and they couldn't get the radio to do it again. Its like the radio is on FM but the screen is saying its on both FM and the cd right? Then it just freaks out and you can't make anything out on the screen at all.
