visor issue...possible swap?
yes...another visor thread. question is...
has anyone swapped the shitty visor for one from a crv or maybe a tsx? does anyone have the means to check measurements on some other 06+ honda/acura model sun visors to see if they fit?
worst case, thinking about taking my broke *** visor to acura and trying to match it up to a tsx. i know they have the same headliner/visor color available.

well thats already in the works. just got back from new england on mon. weather was amazing. it's october and it's still in the mid 90's down here. wtf.
really though...a friend of a friend has an 09 tsx. the visor was mostly cloth with a small amount of plastic and the same color. i hope that it fits. car was not in this heat for the first 2 years and still had pass and driver replaced twice.

Is it that you don't like the OEM visors, or just that you broke one and want to replace it inexpensively? If that is the case, I don't think a visor is that expensive.

Re: visor issue...possible swap?
it's the fact that its a shitty design and i'm not going to keep replacing it with a shitty part. both pass and driver sides have broken 3 times. i'm out of warranty and if i'm going to have to pay out of pocket i'd like to do it one time. how many cars have people had to constantly replace sun visors in? so stupid.

All 06 and up civics have sunvisor problems, especially here in FL were the heat is unbearable. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do because Honda has not updated the part. Dealerships just replace them under warranty.

I wouldn't say, "all". Just those that are exposed to the direct sun too much. From what I've read, and my experience, it is not a problem for cars parked in garages/shady areas most of the time.

Re: visor issue...possible swap?
My visors have been breaking about once a year. I had two replaced already, and after this recent heat wave here in Los Angeles, both of my visors are again busted . It is so annoying, and dangerous because one of them hangs off and blocks my view of the road.
I recently moved and went to the Honda dealer closer to home and they refused to cover it, even though I paid for the extended warranty and my car is still covered.
I am going to try my previous dealer as they never gave me a hard time about it.
But HOnda should really step up and redesign these faulty visors. We should not be expected to replace them every year as if they were windshield wipers. On all my older cars, they still have the OEM visors they came with from the factory. I can't believe that Honda has not done anything about this shitty design.

Yea I've had both of mine replaced in my 09 si.... but would be nice to know if the OP finds a good fix, since I only have 1 summer left before I'm out of warranty.
