Re: US 2012 Civic sedan!!!
Concerns about aerodynamics, fuel economy and interior room will eventually push most cars in the same design direction. The Prius is ideally shaped to maximize those characteristics and pretty soon we will realize just how wasteful most traditional sedan/SUV/wagon designs are.
You may hate the ZDX (most do) but that's a glimpse into the future of mainstream luxury car design.

Re: US 2012 Civic sedan!!!
It's kind of like the change from the 2005-2008 RL to the 2009+. You can see that the lines are the same, but the front and rear fascias were totally re-worked. There were one or two fairly major interior changes too. It's the same platform, but with a few major styling changes, as opposed to a totally new platform. Part of Honda's "wait and see" approach while the world economy recovers.
I'm told they had a completely new platform--which would have represented a change as dramatic as the one from the 7th gen to the 8th gen--and were ready to go w/it, but shelved it for the same reasons they shelved the RWD V8 RL and the new NSX.
Suits me just fine, as the "9th" Civic won't make the 8th look hopelessly outdated.

Someone I talked to with working knowledge of the car said that it's not a "real" FMC.

It would be sick if they ended up using the head and tail lights from the acura csx.
No matter what, I want an 8th gen in my life

Re: US 2012 Civic sedan!!!
Just by looking, I can see a good relationship between steering wheel and shifter.
And is that a cheap plastic reflection I'm seeing also, off the dash?

The exterior looks like it has some great potential under that camo...the interior however looks full of cheapish plastic and is a little to angular for me. I kinda like my 8th's curvacious interior/dash.
Hopefully I'll be keeping my 8th-gen long term and will be checking out the 2016/2017 Civic as my next car (although my 8th might have over 350k on it by then...hehehe)

I would not say it's "great," but not too bad. Does not offend compare to other Honda designs. So it should be business as usual for Honda. Which can be good and/or bad.
From the rear it looks very much like a Nissan Sentra (tall & short).

Maybe I'm being too harsh, on another note I Like the 2011 odyssey. Maybe I'm getting old.

Re: US 2012 Civic sedan!!!
all im gona say is honda isnt building cars like they used too...cheap interior...rediculously loud road noise...squeeks, rattles,...i think the last decent looking civic was the ek, ej's....
