My favorite post he is going to make is:

"man the turbo was sucking in so much air when i shifted to hear the blowoff valve I heard a really loud boom! What do you think could be the problem?"

Yeah I know! I think I've already had that problem. But it appears what happened was the huge awsome fireball that came out of the catless free flowing exhaust!

You guys need to lighten up, I don't intend on annoying you all...Just having a little fun JEEZE!! Relax I'm not stuck on myself or my car. Actually I don't really like four banger and I hate how it sounds. I wish it sounded like a mustang and not a like a fart pipe. But I do like surprising people in a civic sedan.

I usually answer the post with seriousness, I just like to add a little humor to the mix. At least I'm not a jerk and give smartass responses and are rude to some of the people on here when some of the people are just trying to get answers to a topic that had already been beat to death. Some of those ******** are the problem not me!

haha I'm going to use this!!
Yes OP it's the PCS (purge control solenoid) it lets fuel vapor recirculate back into the intake system. The sound you're hearing is the valve rapidly opening and closing on a duty cycle.
Every vehicle made after 1995 has one. Be sure it's properly insulated on it's rubber bracket and that it's not touching anything else.

They put a new sensor on and the same ticking sound is there. Any ideas and is Honda working on this problem?
It's a freaking Honda Civic, not a Lexus or a Rolls Royce.

No, Honda is not working on it, because it's not a problem. At least, no one other than you has complained. All engines make all sorts of noises. Higher end cars just have a lot more sound deadening materials and anti-NVH engineering to isolate those noises from the cabin.

Driving you insane? Get over it. If you didn't notice it during the test drive and weren't concerned about it at that time, then obviously it's nowhere near alarming enough to be intolerable.

Cop probably wouldn't even have pulled him over for that. At first it would probably be for no front plate.

I noticed a quiet "clicking" sound while my hood is up and the engine is going. If you are hearing the same clicking type noise, it is normal. From what i hear you would know if it was a bad noise.
