Throttle/CAI Intake issues?? 2006 civic si
So usually when you hit the gas when in neutral the CAI should suck air right, well sometimes mine doesn't do anything. It is really hard to explain because it only happens every once in a while. I hardly get a response in my RPM's. Then I go to hit the gas again and my intake will suck air through like it normally should. It is really bothering me and it is so annoying!!!!! If someone could help me narrow down something, whether it be throttle body or intake related that would be great.
Thanks

If your intake is not "sucking in air" technically the engine would not combust(run). Are you wanting more sound?

Is your 8th gen Si stock ecu?
It's my understanding the Stock ECU configuration on USDM 8th gen Si's has slow throttle response and rev hang issues (also part of slow response methinks).
What you are witnessing is slow response to gas pedal changes as the ECU calculates everything before opening the throttle plate and giving gas. It's a drive by wire system.
